good value however if you need a receipt of payment ask at time of check in as one isnt emailed

Pros:

Right in the centre of Amesbury.

Easy to check in and out.

Sheets on the bed were fresh.

Cons:

Room hasn’t been deep cleaned in a long time - thick cobwebs in places, marks and stains on the walls, tiles, headboard and curtains. Mould and some dead bugs in the bathroom.

Shower tray leaked across the bathroom floor.

Motion sensor light in the bathroom only stayed on for five seconds at a time.

Very cheap spongey mattress and lumpy pillow. Double bed frame but two single mattresses put together.

The hotel has seen better days, the rooms are old so is the furniture.
Pros:

Cons:

The stuff was not very friendly nor helpful. During my stay i found out, that there was a drum and bass party which made the room pretty much unusable. They took my money and didnt care afterwards. No communication they just ignored my messages.

All it needs is love
Pros:

Very central position. Shops and restaurants within easy walking distance and very quick to get back on to the A303 to continue our journey. Interesting, large room, with strong Beatles connections. Delighted to find we'd been allocated it to sleep in.

Cons:

The decor of the hotel generally and the bathroom in particular was dated and everywhere looked in need of TLC. What a shame that a hotel with such an important connection to one of the world's biggest music influences has not been maintained better. The information on the Beatles was well presented, but so much more could be done to promote it.

Not as bad as reviews suggest
Pros:

Local & cheapest accommodation to Stonehenge. I was in room 11, not as bad as other reviews suggest, room just needs a bit of TLC. Bed was comfy & a good place to settle down for a couple of nights. Staff were nice when I encountered them, dont have any massive complaints.

Cons:

Kettle in the room needs replacing, bits of the plastic come off when boiling. Toilet light turns on and off, abit annoying but it is what it is.

Dated but satisfactory for the price.
Pros:

The room was very large. Large bed. Sofa with large TV screen

Cons:

Very loud music playing in the function room below. The bath was not great to shower in as it had a fairly narrow flat area. The kettle flex barely allowed the kettle to sit on the table.
The room was not updated or well decorated, a bath side panel was missing and paintwork/grouting was not tidy, but these things are superficial and at least it had more character than a standard modern hotel room, and the price allowed for any short-comings.

Quiet and restful
Pros:

The staff were very welcoming and helpful as we settled in for the night.

Cons:

Our fault. We over slept due to jet lag and my phone alarm did not sound because my phone ran out of a battery. The housekeeper had to awaken us and we checked out as fast as possible. We do apologize for the inconvenience.
