Great price and cheerful staff
Pros:

The location for getting to stonehenge, bang on.

Bike friendly and on the King Alfred Way bike route.
Pros:

In Amesbury and across the road from the food restaurant. Bike storage was adequate and secure.

Lovely building, but wouldn’t choose to stay here again
Pros:

Location is great, the historic building is really lovely, but it needs a lot of love and money to bring it up to the standard I’d expect from even a budget hotel.

Cons:

Cleanliness is poor, our room needed an overhaul - damaged furniture, old paper coming away from the ceiling, even the clean sheets had oily handprints on them.
On arrival the staff looked harangued and were not helpful at breakfast - I understand the hotel has changed hands and they are short staffed, but I still regret spending my money at this venue.

So bad we couldn’t stay - avoid this place
Pros:

We walked into the lobby to check in and could already see the place was unkept and the smell wasn’t pleasant - the room was worse - dirty, poor quality, bin full of rubbish and the beds disgusting - needless to say we walked back out again and did not stay.

Cons:

Everything - it was very very dirty

Cons:

Room wasn't very clean , cobwebs behind the bed. When it was cleaned the door was left open with all our belongings on show.
Very noisy at night due to a party.
The bathroom light went on and off on its own accord.

A soli 15 minuti da Stonehenge, vale la pena fermarsi per una notte se si desidera arrivare là la mattina presto ed evitare le code.
Aree comuni carine.

Cons:

Stanze vecchie e pulizia all'inglese, ma per una notte senza pretese, accettabili.

nothing other than the bedding was clean

Cons:

Hotel and rooms could be cleaned stairs need hoovering as well as room especially in corners of room found sweets stuck on floor of room bedding was clean but not enough power sockets for room 1 by the bed with a adaptor for more pugs but if you want the tv on and to boil the kettle at the same side you are out of luck only 1 socket in that part of the room and the lead for the tv is stretch too tight no facilities late at night bar closed by 9 and no sign of any staff

Hotel looks tired
As there is no air conditioning we left our window wide open, as we found it, with the curtains open to allow air flow. In the morning as we awoke there was a man standing outside our window with a clear view to us, on the balcony that we had no access to but was directly outside our window, it left us feeling a little violated and vulnerable, bed was uncomfortable and every step we walked the floorboards creaked, could even hear hear neighbours snoring.

Et fint, gammelt hotell med sjel. Gode senger.
