Having stayed here for three times it is a great place to stay. Car park across the road and easy to pay for the night and rest of the next day.
The light in the bathroom that kept going on and off. Very annoying.
-Spacious
-Fairly clean
-Central location
-"Parking included" is not true, there's paid parking opposite.
-Staff were upset at us for making a last minute booking, despite selling and accepting that booking. We were left stranded in Amesbury so didn't appreciate shaming us for it. Reception was not staffed, and required you to phone a number.
-Room is in need of repair work, with the bathtub peeling off and lights not working.
Good location for king Alfred’s way and Michelle was super helpful.
Close to Stonehenge, very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is slightly faded but has been recently sold and is being refurbished
I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel looked nothing like the photos or the description online, which was very misleading. We paid a lot of money for our stay, but it certainly wasn’t worth the price. The room and facilities were far below what you would expect from a normal hotel. Many of the basic amenities and services that are usually provided were missing. Overall, I feel we paid far too much for the quality of accommodation we received, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
Liked the elegant staircase, garden looked lovely
Damaged table top in the room, mould on shower screen ,window frames. Bathroom light kept going on and off all the night.
I booked the so called Superior Room as it was meat to be overlooking the garden, but instead it over looked the Amesbury Historical visitor car park . You could see into our bathroom from the visitor centre.
We didn't ask to change room as if this was superior god knows what the others were like.
Wouldn't stay again or recommend it.
Great place to start trip to Stonehenge
Everything was dirty. Sour milk at breakfast, smeary sausage at breakfast
Great location with comfort garden.
Location
Bathroom light kept coming on, bathroom floor and shower, toilet and sink unclean.Window was being held open with a block of wood, lumpy beds, etc
Convenient location, didn’t pretend to be anything that it wasn’t. Good value breakfast.
Bit dated.
The door out.
Everything it was absolutely disgusting filthy.
The shower had black mould over both tiled walls, the base had black chips in it. The toilet was brown at the bottom🤑 the door to the ensuite couldn't close as know door latch.
Great, good value hotel/pub close to Stonehenge. The room was quite large with ensuite. I liked that we had direct access to our own patio with table and chairs. I'm a birder and whilst having breakfast on the patio, got 11 species. Peaceful place.
Not a dislike, the hotel is quite old and needs some work, but that didn't worry us at all
Location was key as we were attending a party which was walking distance.
Very tired hotel, needs a facelift and some investment. Sad to see such a lovely building so run down.
Just bit of mode
