Please be aware all pets must be pre-registered, note maximum 1 dog up to 6 kg of weight is allowed.

If you plan to bring your pet, as one dog is permitted on the premises at a time. Dogs must be leashed at all times, and may not be left alone or unattended in the suite, and the dogs are not permitted in the swimming pools. A refundable fee of $100 USD for the pet is required at the time of booking.

With respect to pet policy, a guest is required to clean up after their pet. If a pet has soiled or damaged in or around the property, the pet fee will be forfeited. A unique piece of paradise
Pros:

The location is great for just chilling…….relax in the pool or walk on miles and miles of beaches. Eileen’s turtle rescue/release program is simply amazing. She allowed us to participate in their wee morning search of eggs and then it seemed like every day there was a turtle release. Eileen posts these releases on Facebook and welcomes people to join her on these free of charge. Her passion is inspiring.

The Chubby Mermaid restaurant offers a variety of dishes prepared by Levi and Chef Simone. On special occasions they served a delicious 6 course meal. Yanni and Kristi are the best at making sure the drinks are flowing. Kristi is so attentive that she swooped in and took away a dish that had stuff I was allergic to. That is customer care ❣️

The pool is a very nice depth to swim and is always clean. This is a boutique so it offers an intimate experience which allows friendships among staff and guests. liked that Playa Grande allowed us to participate in their yoga and aquafit classes.

Eileen frees you up to just enjoy your vacation. She can organize tours so you can just enjoy your vacation.

Cons:

There is nothing we didn’t like. Once we had a car we felt we had more freedom. We explored the area and beaches.

The hotel is adult only! Has 5 units, beautifully decorated and all facing the pool and ocean. The pool was beautiful. The cantina operated by the hotel is great and there another exceptional restaurant nearby! Eileen and her staff are terrific, not to mention the drinks, oh my the wonderful drinks! We are big fans and will be back!

A little piece of heaven on earth

We took the bus from PV to Melaque, hoping that our stay at Star of the Sea would salvage a vacation that had been anything but restful....from the moment we were picked up at the bus station by Eileen until we left, 4 days later, we were treated like royalty!
Eileen and Jedd are the perfect hosts and the location could not be ANY better. Pricing was fair, food was good and transportation was great.
I highly recommend Villa Star of the Sea to anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway in a phenomenal location.
