This institution is professional, kind, always there for their guests. I have no complaint, everything was perfect. Room service was great, the pool and spa area was great. The bar staff were efficient. The front office people were super helpful in setting up taxis. The breakfast was amazing. We had just come back from climbing Huayna Potosi and despite looking like backpackers the staff all treated us like their best clients. We were charmed by the place and woukd highly recommebd it to anyone going to La Paz. The location is not necessarily the best as it is far away from downtown but still has the benefit if being super quiet.

Pros:

The hotel AC was not functioning at all entered room ac was 23 went to lunch came back it was 25.5 they switched my room and brought a portable ac unit however they just laid exhaust on ground so unit was blowing cool but exhaust was blowing hot very disappointed started in room at 24.5 left room it was 31 . Staff didn’t care it was beyond hot I changed my flight and left a day earlier not impressed at all !!

Very nice hotel in the Zona Sur, great breakfast, friendly staff. Pool in a beautiful location looking over the mountains (water was a bit warm especially at end of a sunny day).

Nice hotel, be mindful.
Pros:

Nice hotel. We stayed on two occasions, before and after the salt flats. On both occasions the heating in our room didn’t work. The first time we asked for it to be fixed which it was, the second time we were over having to ask. The safe also didn’t work and had to be fixed. Edwin on reception is AWESOME, some of the other staff not so much (arrogant).

Be mindful that they’ll change USD1 for 10 Boliviano’s but when you check out they’ll charge you in USD at the rate of the day (6 boliviano to 1 USD). Ask to pay in local currency and exchange cash. We were over charged by USD40+ because of their little ‘system’.

Overall I’d stay again even though it feels that they lack integrity on their currency exchange.

We loved our stay at Atix! The staff was so helpful and nice, our room was comfortable and quiet. All the art in the building is so unique and it gave the hotel a great personality. We also absolutely loved the indoor pool and sauna. We watched the most beautiful sunset overlooking the city and Mountain View from the pool while eating empanadas from the pool area. Incredible stay. Definitely recommend!!

If you are traveling to La Paz The Atix is the hotel to stay at. It is a very nice neighborhood. The amenities are wonderful. The pool and jacuzzi are located on the seventh floor enclosed because it is a bit chilly in La Paz. The staff is so welcoming and accommodating, from late night room service, to midnight shuttle service to the airport for a 3 am flight. Our room was very comfortable with a king size bed. A wonderful buffet breakfast. Choose the Atix when you plan your trip to La Paz.
