Pros:

The breakfast was very good as was all the meals we had there . Prices reasonable. The Staff helpful and friendly. Old building well looked after.

Pros:

Good sized and we'll appointed rooms, really powerful and hot shower, friendly staff. We didn't have breakfast but it looked good and plentiful. We had a great evening meal.

Welcoming, cozy and an excellent location
Pros:

The location is excellent. The rooms were comfortable and great facilities, tea, coffee facilities in your room.
Staff could not have been more helpful and the food was excellent. The property has a lovely warm and cozy feel.

Beautiful historic hotel with excellent rooms and dining, but unclear extra bed charges.
Pros:

Wonderful boutique hotel in a very historic building, beautifully renovated. Impeccable room with very comfortable beds and an excellent bathroom. Very good daily housekeeping. The hotel restaurant is excellent, with fantastic food and good service.

Cons:

I had an issue with the extra bed charge (£70), as this policy was not clearly stated in the Booking.com listing at the time of reservation. I tried to explain this to the staff member and show that the information was unclear, but they kept repeating that the charge was valid according to the hotel’s rules. I accepted the charge despite disagreeing and mentioned that I would include this in my review. It is worth considering whether this was a Booking.com or hotel communication issue. In any case, a refund would be very welcome, as my complaint is legitimate.

Helpful staff & great location
Pros:

Quality breakfast & superb location, the car charging points were really appreciated in the rear car park. The staff were all really nice & helpful.

Cons:

Our bedroom was in the attic & definitely not what we would have chosen had we known
