Rolling Hills Lodge

This place is showing its age. The ice machine was broke and the towels were like thin sheets of sandpaper. The staff was nice, especially the maid. Breakfast offered only from 8-9 was a burrito. Go to McDonalds or the pancake restaurant for breakfast. Trip advisor recommended? Really?

The owners Mark and Sue are fantastic hosts, generous and gracious. The rooms were clean and spacious. We booked the larger room with two king size beds. Breakfast was cooked while you wait each morning, so fresh and hot. Location is central and within walking distance of several stores. Highly recommend staying.

Very clean place to stay people that run the motel were very nice easy to get along with you very helpful places to go and want to see. I would recommend it to anybody that wanted to stay there. It would be a great place to stay.

No amenities. Not what was listed on Expedia. Very disappointing and OVERPRICED.

Rolling Hill Lodge is a far cry from their website information. For a $100 plus a night I expected more. Check in was through a window and not very personable and very little information given. Room ok but you had to look around to fine small notes of paper telling you how the shower works (most screwed up thing I've ever seen and I'm 76 years old), what the wi fi was, had two different ones in our room which caused problems trying to use my computer. Wife took a shower and walked around room barefooted and had to rewash her feet as they were black from the dirty carpet. I in turn walked around in white socks which became black socks. room small 11 ft by 15 ft. breakfast made to order is not that, had breakfast tacos and it was not very good, the fruit with it was good. Did not eat breakfast there again. need a stool in bath to use when dressing, etc. also better lighting as using mirror to shave is very hard to see, and the tube has very high sides, also need a second chair in room so two people can seat down without using the bed. TV did not come in clear, guess that's the cable company. I can not in good faith give this place more than one star. I would tell others to use name brand hotels with free breakfast.

Breakfast was kind, friendly, and very special.

The breakfast was very tasty. The room was small and outdated. No toilet lid, the towels were rough and small, the soap for the sink and shower (1 bar) was super-tiny. Good location and the attendant let us check in several hours early which was really nice.

They let us check in an hour early, very nice room and huge bathroom. Definitely would stay here again! Staff was very nice and friendly too.

Although a basic motel, we were very surprised at the quality of the bed and the breakfast was amazing. The room was spacious and very clean. The bath towels could use an upgrade as well as the TV channel choices. But these were very minor compared to the bed comfort and the very tasty hot breakfast! I recommend staying here if you want to be near everything in Cherokee.

Disappointing, that's the word that best describes my experience. The room was tiny, stinky, dirty, and def not worth what we paid to stay there. There are signs and notes everywhere with rules like you're staying at a mean mother-in-law's house. The "award winning breakfast" is a taco with egg, mushroom, peppers, and onions. It comes with fruit and half a cinnamon roll. There is no alternative, and if you ask for something different, the lady cooking the food will tell you that their breakfast won an award. Well, I'm allergic to onions and she used the same hand to touch everything, so it doesn't matter if it's "award winning" if I can't eat it. And you can not take a plate back to the room for your spouse. You have to be at the window between 8am and 8:55am in person, or you get nothing. The ice machine is broken, and you can only ask them for ice between 2pm and 10pm. It is in a good lication, but everything around it closes at 5pm. The young guy who works at the front desk is very sweet. You can not actually walk up to the front desk or enter the lobby, you have to do all business through a window. I can't lie, I cried over the amount of money we paid to stay here because I was so disppointed. It's not a terrible place, just not at all what I expected.

Nice and clean , great bang for the buck and location

Property was great. Room was good. Food at breakfast was excellent. Internet was iffy!

Used washcloth left hanging by the last person using the room, hairs found on sheets in bed. But quiet and simple and convenient.

The room was clean and had all the amenities you'd need. The area around was very walkable and friendly to get around. Parking was extremely easy even with the seemingly busy weekend they were having. Staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was top notch 🙌
