Vannasut Hotel and Spa

The hotel is very close to the Buddha Stupa, which is a great plus. Unfortunately it is located on a very busy street, across the street from the pedestrian area around the Stupa and crossing the street could be nerve wrecking. The hotel has a restaurant and spa, both featuring Thai specialties. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The facility was wonderful

Only stayed for a short night, but staff did a great job to make it memorable. The rooms were decently sized, tidy and clean. Warm shower was available in middle of the night. The Vannasut will be my first choice for my next time in Kathmandu.

Too much noise, couldn’t sleep due to noise outside the room. No staff available during night to take some action to reduce noise. Booked Heritage room, only thing we could see was another building from window.

Very clean and convenient. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at Ghangri hotel before and have always been pleased with the service provided, the cleanliness and the good food served in their restaurant.

Awesome hotel with an amazing team

Very clean, comfortable and well-presented hotel only a few minutes walk from the Great Stupa.The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast in the restaurant (but did not try other meals). Arranging a taxi to the airport was very smooth and the driver went out of his way to help. The only negative was that the hot water in the otherwise excellent en-suite bathroom was a bit unreliable.

The local is good, receptionist have to clear about the booking. They were taking long time to find my booking.

I stayed at Ghangri Boutique hotel for more than 2 weeks while attending teachings at Shechen Monastery in Boudha. The staff were fabulous. They provided excellent care and service and went way beyond expectations to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. The food was excellent.

This is the most accommodating hotel I have ever used. Great peoe make the difference; exceptionally kind and friendly devoted to taking care of their guests.
And, a lovely restaurant with a good quality varied menu and superb service. I could happily live here.

Ghangri is a good place to stay, I was only there for one night while transiting KTM, it is convenient for the airport, is clean, decent restaurant and good wifi.The service from Sudesh? on arrival was outstanding, he knew who I was, helped with some internet connection issues I had and showed me the room which was huge and I thought a little impersonal and bland but was very clean, modern bathrooom and good hot water. Similarly, the dining room is a bit of a barn but these are relatively small quibbles about a perfectly good hotel.
A small bonus is that taxi drivers seem to know where the hotel is, at least mine did.(Use the prepaid taxi desk on exiting KTM arrivals area)

Customer service on reception wasnt good when I arrived. food was average at best-when it finally arrived warm! Had to send it back even though I was the only person in the restaurant. Breakfast was full of whole peppercorns for some reason. Local area was not good but I wasn't expecting it to be. Its fairly close to the airport 500 rupees in a taxi. Definitely wouldn't bother paying the 10 dollars for the airport transfer service!
The whole experience was not worth the money, I had treated myself for my last night in Nepal and was very disappointed.

This hotel was a great bargain in the Boudha area (just a few minutes from the stupa) It is new and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was extremely accommodating (except one night manager) when 3 of my children decided to spend the night with me. The breakfast was a delicious buffet. I was so pleasantly surprised since I have stayed in many different Kathmandu hotels. I would stay here again for sure if I needed to be in the Boudha area.

Wonderful experience! Check in was easy, and the staff were very kind and helpful. It was my wife's birthday while we were there, and the staff made her a personalized birthday cake and brought it to our room. We were blown away by the personal touch, and it was a great surprise. Will definitely stay again if in Kathmandu.

The staff was very helpful even tho it was the middle of the night and continued to go above and beyond throughout our stay The breakfast definitely left a bit to be desired but mainly because of format and misunderstanding.
