I have stayed at Holiday Inn properties before and had never had a bad experience, which is why I trusted the brand when making this reservation. Unfortunately, this was the first time I had such a terrible experience at a Holiday Inn. I was also told through Booking that the deposit would be $100, but when I arrived, they required a $150 deposit and told me that otherwise my reservation would be canceled. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the service and this experience.
The room was very dirty and had an unpleasant odor. The carpet was visibly stained and dirty, and the sofa bed mattress was old, uncomfortable, and in poor condition. I asked to be moved to another room because of the condition of the room, but I was simply told they could not change it and that they were sorry. The staff was also rude and not helpful at all. I asked for extra blankets and was told they did not have any available. We arrived very late after traveling, so unfortunately we had no choice but to stay for the night. The combination of the dirty room, bad smell, old mattress, and extremely poor customer service made this a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel.
Coffee & breakfast were good
Mattress was uncomfortable. One of party forgot toothbrush; hotel did not have any toothbrushes for purchase or as convenience.
Very clean and staff was pleasant and helpful
The area was less than desirable. But I never felt unsafe.
We had a great stay. Great breakfast. Great service.
The only thing I wasn’t really excited about, was the goose down pillow, which unfortunately I’m allergic to, and only noticed when I was already having an allergic reaction. Also, we ended up first at the wrong hotel, which from what I could tell, happens often. Maybe give a heads up.
Service staff was friendly- housekeeping and breakfast staff.
Front desk staff not so friendly. I was given higher rate than what was given online for first 2 nights. I ended up having to ask for another night due to circumstances. When I inquired about the rate, first answer was same as first 2 nights. When I found out i had to stay for sure, another person increased the rate by almost $100. I was stuck so i had to do it. I brought up what the person had said an hour earlier then was told they were wrong.
