The Garden Rooms are separate from the main building and are at the rear of the hotel. These rooms are our only dog-friendly rooms. They have a small garden area with an outdoor terrace and seating and views of Southwold Lighthouse.
Dogs are charged at £15 per dog per night, the hotel itself is not dog friendly.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Whilst the hotel was well placed I thought it was a bit overpriced.
Pros:

Dinner and breakfast were very good.

Cons:

Bed and pillows was not as comfortable as I would normally expect. Occasional noise in morning from brewery backing onto bathroom. Outside room lights permanently on at night.

Average. The price paid not commensurate with the quality, of the room in particular.
Pros:

Breakfast was ok. Sourdough muffin in Eggs Benedict dish was tough and chewy. Pastries on buffet no covered so flies on them

Cons:

Cleanliness of the room. Wrote my name in the dust on the mirror. Skirting boards dusty. Blind over radiator badly stained. Toilet bowl stained.

Two relaxing days with lovely service and food..
Pros:

this hotel is in a beautifully maintained Georgian building in the middle of the pretty market town. the staff are excellent, seeming to know just how much interaction is expected of them. Combined with beautifully prepared and served local food, this made for a lovely dining experience. The fish platter included oysters, crevettes and smoked salmon, and the aged sirloin was cooked exactly as requested.

Cons:

Rather than clambering into the bath, we would have preferred walk in shower

A little haven to recharge the batteries in a charming seaside resort.
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent. Good choice of both cold items and cooked items. Full English and Eggs Benedict get a special mention for great quality and taste. Dinner in the main restaurant also excellent. Unhurried service, varied menu, good portion size all strong positives. Pre dinner martini was really well made and much enjoyed.
