As expected
Staff was exceptional. The location was right downtown and within 10 minutes walking distance to all the main attractions.
A bit noisy and the bed was quite soft.
ממוקם במרכז העיניינים
מלון ישן, ממוקם בצמוד ומעל פאב כך שיש רעש, אין מעלית
We liked the historical aspect
The bathrooms and kitchens were very old and many areas needed repair. Also, some windows did not close.
No elevator
Eravamo già stati una settimana prima e siamo tornati, dopo un breve tour di 5 giorni.
Si tratta di un hotel storico, risalente ai primi del 900 ricco di fascino; anche se non è il Grand Hotel, siamo stati bene
Place is economical for Juneau and in a perfect location! Supposedly haunted but I didn’t experience any ghosts. It’s not fancy, rather authentic old Alaskan. Super fun.
Nothing negative to say
Helpful and friendly staff
No dyslexic
Room and kitchen
The bed is good and very comfortable but after I showered last night, I feel itchy in my legs and arms, around 1:15 am
It’s right downtown. It’s a funky old historic building with a great vibe. Walking distance to everything. Very “Alaskan”. It isn’t fancy, but it’s cozy and fun.
Great staff to help and feel welcome!
Lack of crockery and cooking equipment in kitchen rooms
This hotel is old and amenities are non existent.
No elevator. No air conditioning. Hotel claims water is not safe to drink but does not offer at least one complimentary water bottle.
The spring mattress is terrible, worn out and broken. Not a relaxing experience.
The toilet and the shower light are super noisy. Musty odor in the room.
The carpet has nails sticking out which is very dangerous. Parts of the carpet are cut out and patched with fraying sides.
There is a kitchen with an oven and range however there are no dishes. No pots nor pans so how are we supposed to use it.
Many hotels will consider one hour complimentary late check out. This one doesn’t.
The staff is basically indifferent and the music from the bar that is part of the hotel is loud and obnoxious.
We understand it’s a historical building but other than elevator and air conditioning they could have done a better job on the interior of the room and what they offer to allow a pleasant stay.

Location. History
Music was Obnoxiously, over the top Loud!
It is a bar…but Saturday night, a burlesque show & .no tickets for us staying at the hotel, but those with prior tickets 3:00 am…still so loud our beds shook! IF a hotel is going to allow such crazy, excruciating noise, then those subjected to it should at least be allowed to join in!
There was a gang outside the entrance of the hotel at 2 am that were a huge disturbance. They were spilling out of the bar next door stumbling around and managed to cause my granddaughter to start crying in fear. I went down to the front desk ..twice ..and asked that they call the police. They refused .Twice I asked .Twice they refused. One of the night clerks did go out an d chit chat with some of the drunks smoking some funny smelling stuff then he Just came back in and stared at the wall. Unbelievable.
I don't know the laws in Alaska about open drinks and pot consumption on the sidewalk outside a bar and hotel with kids trying to sleep inside but I'll be checking tomorrow.
I could go on and on about the safety and condition of this place but they seem to act like they are untouchable to any rules
and safety regulations.
Kichican Alaska seems to value the safety and comfort of visitors with families alot more than this place.
Great location and housekeeping attention to detail
No cooking equipment or crockery in kitchette
