Two star hotel advertised as four star, yet charging five star plus prices.
Pros:

Location was fine, breakfast was good.

Cons:

50 USD for my wife and myself each way from the airport, (7 km ?) using the hotel shuttle is a total rip off. Having to pay a further 60 USD as a deposit for food or drinks when booking in was a new experience, a very arrogant assessment of your clientelle. 170 USD for the room plus 160 USD for airport shuttle and food deposit is a disgrace.

Maputo weekend
Pros:

First time in Maputo with my partner. This was a great way to get settled in. The room and views from the balcony were amazing. Hearing the calm crashing waves was ideal. Great hotel along the beach front!

GREAT PLACE BUT NEEDS AN UPGRADE AND MODERNIZATION

The hotel is located in a nice area

Cons:

Beach thats close to hotel is super dirty,not for swimming You can hear pple praying at the beach that's across the hotel (its a public beach.) And 6am 😅forget about swimming at the hotel pool if you visit in December its always packed , the queues at breakfast in December can be a bit daunting.. toilet was making sounds esp downstairs u its ,they need to fix their drainage honestly.. .overall twas an OK stay ..We loved the Anniversary surprise cake and Champagne Thank you guys you made our Anniversaryspecial..will be back but not in December

I was at Southern Sun for a short night but it was worth it!
