Room had mold and was very dirty. Brought this to the attention of the staff who were uninterested and simply agreed it wasnt dirty and said they wouldnt want to sleep in the room either. No suggestion or offer to rectify was made. A written complaint was made that remains unanswered a month later
We are becoming regulars at the Trearddur Bay Hotel. It has a very high standard, which it keeps from visit to visit. The location is wonderful, the staff are the best, the food is excellent, the rooms are luxurious. Couldn't ask for anything more.
Enjoyable and comfortable stay in a lovely quiet location.
Family room a good size but very warm.
Good selection of tea/coffee/snacks in the room which were appreciated.
Lovely meal in the Inn at the Bay restaurant.
Great selection of breakfast choices.
Used the indoor pool on the second day - this was closed the day we arrived which was the only disappointing part of the stay.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Birthday visit for my lady and the food and staff were amazing . Would highly recommend. Even for out of season there’s no drop in the service A+++
Really enjoyed our night away.
Only issue we had with the room, was a locked bedroom window which meant we weren't able to get any fresh air into the room... led to a rather stuffy nights sleep.
Apart from that, everything was very good!
The Trearddur Bay Hotel is an absolute delight and so perfectly placed near the sea and the village. I was in a room with a sea view, which was stunning. The room itself was spacious and well equipped, the bed was very comfortable and I slept like a log. All the staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful. I look forward to my next trip.
A cracking find and great food. We hadn’t booked but were made very welcome and given great seats with views across the bay. A definite must if you’re in the area.
Very well-mannered and attentive staff. Lovely clean room, small but perfect for a short break. Good food but would benefit from more vegetarian options in both restaurants. We live fairly locally but enjoy staying here for a bit of R&R.
Just a great hotel and Dave who looked after us at breakfast and dinner as he was working both was exceptional
We have seen this hotel a number of times when visiting the area, it’s never really appealed to us as curb appeal (imho) is lacking. However, as we love the area, we decided to give it a try, we were not disappointed.
We were warmly welcomed and directed to our room, a decent hike through corridors and up/down stairs. The trek was worth it when we were greeted by the most stunning view. Our room was large, super comfortable bed with crisp linens, another single bed, a sofa bed, giving more than ample room for a family. Large wardrobes with bathrobes and slippers and a fridge with fresh milk, always welcome. The bathroom was generous, a spacious corner bath with a powerful shower over head, ample storage space and super fluffy towels. Our balcony was large and would be a fabulous place to relax in warmer months, it was a bit chilly in February.
The breakfast was very good, a good selection of continental options as well as a variety of cooked choices, all very tasty with good quality produce.
The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble, genuine friendly smiles.
We have taken a blob off for a couple of reasons. Firstly there was a huge crack in our patio door, it did look as if it had been made safe however I would have expected this to have been replaced especially in view of the cost of the room. Also, whilst I am sure that the shower curtain was clean, the deep dirty brown mark along the bottom of it looked horrible and grubby, again, not what I would have expected.
We absolutely would stay again, definitely our little ‘niggles’ outweighed the positives.
Highly recommended.
We used this delightful hotel on Anglesey to break our journey from Bristol to Dublin. It is only minutes from the ferries at Holyhead, and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. The hotel is almost on the beach, and also has a swimming pool. Pub supper, and breakfast excellent.
(The roll top bath upgrade was an unexpected treat)
Excellent stay as usual. The staff are great! We had the February special deal which worked out very well. Great food too!
Great views of the sea and bay. The bay restaurant in the hotel is a good quality restaurant. Service is excellent.
Would return.
I very rarely write review and when I do, they are bad reviews to warn others of poor service, quality and value. It is so nice to feel compelled to write a positive review having had such an enjoyable evening in the restaurant of the Trearddur Bay Hotel.
And I must begin this review by thanking Claire (I hope I have spelled it correctly) who looked after us so well and added so much to making our evening so special and memorable. Claire is a credit to the Hotel!
My family had come to the village to visit for half term and I suggested we ate at the Inn at the Bay. I did not realise that there was a quiz on that evening. The Inn was full and there were no tables available. Thankfully, an exceedingly kind member of the Inn staff said that we could eat in the restaurant and order from the Inn menu.
Claire was managing the restaurant that evening and found a lovely table for our family. Although we had the pub menus to hand, we glanced at the restaurant menu and were surprised to see how extensive and delicious it looked and, most surprisingly, what excellent value it was. We ended up all ordering from the restaurant menu. The mussels, the steak, the fish, my daughter’s choice from the children’s menu – all were exceptional and of very high-end restaurant quality.
The most impressive aspect, however, was the service and welcome.
We are looking forward to returning.
Short winter break that was excellent value for money. We came specifically for the quiz night and we had a great time.
This is our second time at the Trearddur Bay and we had another good ‘value for money’ stay. The two restaurants serve a limited menu but the food is good quality and plentiful.
My only negative comment would be over the standards of cleanliness and although the hotel is in no way dirty, improvements are needed to make the place shine like a pin.
The carpet in our room (Room 1) is marked and stained and the mat by the patio door is a bit tatty and has seen better days.
The ripped chair seats in the Inn at the
Bay (round the circular table on the raised dog friendly section) are not a good advert for the hotel.
The standards would not put us off going back to this hotel as it is good value all round but improving the cleanliness and general standards would get better feedback and customer satisfaction.
We had a lovely two night stay at the hotel on a bed and breakfast and dinner with wine included. It was an amazing price.
We stayed alongside friends and had a superb stay. Hotel was spotless and the staff were extremely pleasant. The food was lovely too. Would highly recommend this hotel.
We took advantage of a 'February flash sale offer' and were so pleased we did. In addition to our generous meal allowance, we had a £10 voucher towards drinks on the Sunday evening.
This helped make the break super affordable.
It was not only affordable, but very enjoyable, as we had a very comfortable and clean room looking out over the bay, We found the stairs very steep though!
We had dinner in the restaurant the first evening, with the biggest cheese board I have ever seen. (Steph kindly provided a doggy bag!)
We booked the Tavern on the bay for our second night and again, the choices were varied, the quality excellent and the service? Immaculate and friendly.
All the staff were very professional.
Cannot fault it.
We stayed there the night of our sailing to Dublin was cancelled. Lovely lady Vickey at reception and had a superb steak in there bay restaurant
It was a last minute brake, we were upgraded on arrival x couldn’t do enough for us x very clean, beautiful location x
