too many dogs

My pre-paid booking was confirmed weeks in advance, but when I checked in, Jaga Bay said Hotels.com had made a mistake, so I would have to pay an extra $10 per night or forfeit the room. Classic Bait & Switch.

Beware of dogs, unless you love dogs go elsewhere . Greeted by a pack of yelping dogs .Cant eat food without a congregation at your feet. Was told they don’t bite , but not conducive to a peaceful stay.

great location on the beach,fantastic beach, friendly staff, lots of ants about, not a great choice for breakfast, could do with water or juice, also boiled eggs and maybe beans

Плюсы: 40 метров до моря, приятный вежливый персонал, завтраки с видом на море, милые собачки, по соседству неплохая кафешка в Латина резорт со столь нужным в веганской Шри ланке источником белка- блюдом Сашими.
Минусы: непонятный проект здания отеля, канализационные трубы и кондиционеры в коридоре перед дверями номеров, от этого шум, слабые завтраки, через несколько дней отдыха появляются волдыри на теле и жутко чешутся. Не знаю, пляжная блоха это или как то связано с собаками на пляже. Вроде это у всех кто был в это время на Шри ланке

WIFI ужасен. Но так везде. Больше претензий нет.

Все бы хорошо, но при брони номер был с завтраком, каким-то образом в отеле ваучер был без завтрака. До службы поддержки не дозвонилась , написать невозможно . В отеле соответственно тоже ничего не докажешь. Очень большой минус Хотелс. Про сам отель - достаточно чистый, в номере был замечен за 4 дня только 1 муравей. Уборка ежедневно. Минус - очень неудобные жёсткие и высокие подушки, непонятно для кого, спала в итоге на полотенце ( Хороший ресторан при отеле

I like that it's easy to access the beach and staff are generally helpful and friendly. I didnt like that they only provided mineral water free for first night and charge twice the sale price for additional nights.

Half built, rooms smelt weird, aircon didn’t work, wifi didn’t work.
Staff were nice and friendly. View and location was great.

Lovely location, with direct access onto beach. Enjoyed seeing monkeys in the trees each day. Good choice of food from supper menu, with very good service. Tuktuks always available at the road. A taxi was arranged to drive us to our next destination.

The Jaga Bay resort is a good place to stay. Spacious rooms with king size beds (with mosquito nets) and helpfull staff. The hotel is being renovated so some of it looks like construction site. The restaurant is good and the breakfast buffet was good too. The location is quiet and far away from the town so you have to take tuktuk everytime you want to go some where else to eat or do shopping. There were many stray dogs at the hotel area and the beach. This was little bit annoying and some times in the evening they almost attacted some people at the beach. Also they bark a lot at the night! NOTICE FOR SURFERS: The waves are pretty small and the break is very shallow. You can't get very long rides. For beginners the waves are perfect and the sand bottom is very forgiving.

Okay strandhotel lige ned til vandet, en smule slidt, men rent. Morgenmaden var ok, og ellers spiste vi på nabo restauranten da denne var væsentlig bedre end på dette hotel.

ホテル場合には綺麗なビーチがあってサーフィンスポットになっています。体験スクールもあります。静かなビーチリゾートでのんびりするには良いですが周辺には何もないので買い物等はトゥクトゥクで近くの町まで行く必要があります。
部屋は綺麗で居心地がいいです。
が、シャワーからお湯が出ないのが欠点。（ぬるい水しか出なかったです）このへんのホテルはみんなこんな感じなのかな？

Väldigt tråkigt rum. Men där ska man ju ändå bara sova. Läget på stranden var bra. Hotellet lånar ut surfbräda och body boards, det var toppen. Weligama har inte så mycket att erbjuda men det är lätt och billigt att ta tuc tuc till mirissa.

Jaga Bay is a little rough around the edges but thoroughly comfortable, relaxed, and nicely run. The location is fantastic: a quite corner of Weligama Bay (mercifully, no thumb-wumpa music blasting from giant speakers onto the beach, as you'll find along other stretches). You can walk right out of the hotel onto the beach - plenty of comfy chaise lounges under colourful umbrellas. The waves are surf-able as well. The restaurant is handy and serves great fresh fruit. Rooms are clean and comfy - with a balcony overlooking the waves! The staff is friendly and competent. A fantastic spot for a Sir Lankan getaway.

Jaga Bay Resort er et rigtig fint, lidt slidt men meget velfungerende hotel.
Personalet er meget hjælpsomme og gør alt for at man føler sig godt tilpas.
Stranden er perfekt da der hverken er store bølger eller kraftig understrøm.
Der er ikke mange turister i området hvilket bare gør det hele lidt hyggeligere.
Der er køleskab på værelserne og stole på svalegange så udsigten kan nydes.

Nice stay. Reasonable price during peak season.

Pärla direkt vid stranden. Bra mat med trevlig personal inom alla områden. Mycket mygg i den täta växtligheten runt byggnaden. Allt för många hundar som även släpptes in i vid matplatser ute och inne. Välskött strand med gratis strandstolar. Rummet på andra våningen var helt okey med kylskåp, a/c, säkerhetsskåp, myggnät, bra sängar. Bara 10 min med tuktuk till både Willigama och Merissa centrum.
