Hotel is nice. Room also ok. If you want to explore around old town in the night time, you should not choose this hotel. It is a bit far from old town.
Room can hear all sounds outside the room. In the early morning, someone singing loudly and at night too some speak loudly. It disturbed our sound-sleep.

Very pleased with my stay at the Gallant. Stayed 5 nights and felt so comfortable, the staff is so helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast buffet, fresh eggs every morning made right in front of you and many other interesting Vietnamese food items for breakfast. They served breakfast and lunch, for dinner one can travel to the Old Quarter which is only 4 KM away from the hotel. Taxi ride over to the Old Quarter cost about 40000 dongs which is about $2. My room was very clean and had a small refrigerator with soda and beer, very nice! TV channels were great, got to watch the baseball world series during my stay. Wifi is good as well. Highly recommend this place!

The hotel was very clean and well designed. The room was big. We were 3 and everything was comfortable. The service was just fine. If you are staying in Hanoi then this hotel is a perfect choice for you. Really recommended.

We stayed here for 17 Nights, this is the absolute best place we could find near UpCoworking Space. The Staff was nothing short of incredible, any request we've had has been taken care of with a sense of urgency and smile. From having our Eggs cooked by our friend in the breakfast hall.. as we walk in to the room - To assisting us in renting a Bike to tour the city - Our stay hear has been the most comfortable we could ask for. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Nice standard hotel, located about 10min from the old town though so a short taxi is required. But staff happy to offer advise and where to visit if needed. But room and bathroom a nice size for relaxing after exploring around the city. Maybe recommend staying closer to the town though as not many places to eat around the hotel.

Room, facilities, staff, breakfast... of this hotel are exellent except for the location. It's a little bit far from Hanoi Old Quarter. But it's not a big deal with it because we can go there by taxi. It takes 3' and 1$ to go to the Old Quarter. So you can choose Gallant hotel for the reasonable price and the quality. But if you want a hotel where you can find restaurants, go shopping, this is not a good choice.

We booked last minute for 8 people. The staff were really helpful and allowed us to pay separately, recommended places to eat and organised transport to the airport for us. A very nice and clean hotel for a great price.
Wifi works perfectly and everywhere in the hotel.
Great stay for 8 of us

Well we arrived after a trip to Halong Bay which I will review later it was about 4pm and are first look at Hanoi in the daylight on arrival we were met by the porter who tried to take our bags but we told him we could manage then onto reception were we couldn't have been greeted more warmly such smiling great English and nothing was to much trouble as my friends who are Brothers were sharing but decided they would like their own room.
Not a single fluster no fuss all done my room was a suite and such great value had a street view and I have to say I loved the neighbourhood it was not a tourist trap and full of local people
You have to stay here it's a taxi ride to the centre less then £5.00 and the breakfast is really good nothing was to much trouble they organised cabs for us places to visit and so friendly many conversations were had about Hanoi and it's beautiful things to see

You won't be disappointed I promise

My husband and I stayed for four nights at Gallant. If you're wanting a posh stay then this isn't really the place. The rooms itself are very clean, quite newly done, and quite comfortable. Wifi is pretty good here.

A special mention to the hotel manager Thien Dat and his staff who were extremely helpful in sorting our travel and all our needs during our stay. Our trip to Halong bay as well as the Hanoi city tour was personally organised by Mr Dat and he clearly explained all options and costs, and the tours organised via an agency (APT tours) were very good.
One of the night staff girls even came with me to the nearby pharmacy to help translate and get me the right medication that I needed. Even though their English is limited, they were ever ready to help in anyway possible (we used google translator where needed!)

Mr Dat personally looked after every guest and ensured that they are happy and cared for.
Our flight on our checkout day was late in the afternoon and checkout at 12,but Mr Dat had us stay till 2pm and organised a taxi for that time, just in time to leave for our flight, with no extra charge for the late check out.

The breakfast is quite basic and we requested for a vegetarian option, for which they made us some veggie noodles, but to be honest we ate light breakfast and had early lunch. The downside would be that the hotel isn't in the old quarter, and you'll need to to take a taxi to get anywhere (takes about 5mins, inexpensive) but Overall our experience at Gallant has been very pleasant and we would be happy to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

I went in a trip to Vietnam with my girlfriend and our first stop was Gallant Hotel at Hanoi. We had a draft plan in our head, but the General Manager was very helpful since the first day. He helped us creating a trip plan and took care of everything (tickets, rides, hotels, tours...) for a fair price. It was very relaxing knowing that in every place we visited we would have everything taken care for us. Also after checkout and after a tour to Halong Bay they let us a room to shower before our train ride to Hue.
Regarding the hotel, I think it is good for price. Clean, the double bedroom was nice, the only bad point is the location (it is not in the old quarter) but you can easily reach there in 5 min by taxi for 1-2USD.
