客室が最高でした。また、夜、鴨川を眺めながらゆっくりビール🍻で乾杯ムードに設定しており、次も家族で泊まりたいホテルです。

Amazing luxury hotel in the best possible location south of Pontocho and across the bridge from Gion. A huge room with a terrace and a sparkling large bathroom with a shower, wooden tub, and river views. Fridge stocked with beer and soft drinks and a washer-dryer for longer stays. None of this comes cheap but go and enjoy.

Our room at Aoi Hotel was very spacious, with a balcony the size of some budget hotel rooms and overlooking the Kamo River. The room gets daily cleaning and restocking, but the reception/concierge is not really present (they can be summoned with a phone call from the front desk).

Overall, a unique, high-quality hotel in an excellent location.

Great boutique style with awesome amenities. The river view is amazing and kudos to Misato at the front desk who went above and beyond throughout the check-in process and helped translate all the little bottons in the room.

What a swell spot.
The room was lovely.
We had a nice view of the river and would have our coffee in the morning watching people stroll by and the birds hopping around in the water.
Location was pretty ideal: Quiet but close to the metro, restaurants, and shopping.

Radiant heat in the floors. An almost fully equipped kitchen with coffee and small refrigerator. They don’t have a restaurant on-premise (or really, anything other than the rooms) so we’d buy yogurt and things the night before and make coffee (provided) in the morning. A number of convenience stores nearby.
Washing machine for mid-vacation cleaning.
Handsome bathroom although maybe a bit dark for putting on makeup (or per my wife). Fancier robot toilet than other hotels.

Lovely linens. The bed was comfortable but will be a bit on the firm side if coming from a plush hotel before your visit here.

Room had a good sized tatami area as well.

Desk staff were friendly and efficient.

This is the best hotel we have stayed in Japan so far. Location cannot be better - restaurant, cafes, shopping all around the corner. It is also within 10 mins walk to Gion where sightseeing can be done. The room is very spacious, clean and equipped with modern amenities. We stayed in a studio with a Japanese bedroom - perfect for our baby who is sensitive to noises. They provided us with a baby crib and a baby bath tub. Before we arrived, they have helped us book dinner and provided us with info about airport transfer. They also helped us book limousine from Kyoto to Kansai airport and taxi from hotel to bus stop. They are responsive to our emails and always think one step further for us. I just cannot wait to stay in this hotel with my family again!

교토에서의 마지막 날 이곳에 묵었습니다. 위치, 시설, 직원들의 친절함 뭐 하나 나무랄 게 없었습니다. 도착하기 전에 이메일을 주고 받으면서도 직원들이 너무나도 친절하다는 것을 느낄 수 있었습니다. 교통도 편하고, 걸어서 10분 이내에 갈 수 있는 곳도 많습니다. 관광지, 쇼핑(전통시장, 백화점), 식당 등등 정말 완벽한 위치입니다. 이번에는 아쉽게도 1박 뿐이었지만, 다음에는 더 오래 머물 생각입니다.
My parents and I stayed at Room 101 for one night before we leave Japan. The stay was filled with surprises all very pleasant. The staffs were extremely kind and helpful even before I got there. I can tell they were trying their utmost to make our stay as enjoyable as possible and it was.

The location was perfect. With only 10 minutes of walk you can get to historic area, bustling shopping district including traditional market and more. But we didn't have to leave the room at all. Overlooking nice stream we could easily stay the whole day in the room enjoying the view and relay. The room was very spacious and with well thought-of amenities.

I would love to come back to Aoi Hotel Kyoto for a longer stay next time.

My wife and I stayed at Aoi Hotel Kyoto for five (5) days in November, it was perfect. The location was fantastic, walking distance to Gion and many, many restaurants. Our room looked over the river, extremely well appointed. It was extremely spacious and perfect for a longer stay. The hotel is similar to staying in a modern apartment or condominium. It is not a full service hotel but the staff is extremely helpful. I would highly recommended staying at Aoi Hotel Kyoto.

We stayed 5 nights in the small traditionnal house Takasegawa belonging to Aoi Stay in Kyoto with our 2 children aged 8 and 9. The house is better than shown on the pictures. It has a small living room with a small kitchen and is directly on the steam behind the house. Although we went in winter we sometimes opened the window to see and listen to the small stream. Upstairs is a tatami room whith 4 comfortable beds. We also particularly appreciated that there were 2 full well appointed bathrooms.
The surroundings are fantastic with many small bars and restaurants. We mostly walked to main temples or rented bicycles.
Aoi staff were very very kind and extremely helpful always trying to fulfill our many requests.
We highly recommend this unique experience, very different from staying in a hotel.

5G hotel: great location, great staff, great deco, great value and great memories. Just love it!

What a great hotel nestled in a quaint neighborhood yet just steps away from the commercial core of Kyoto.

Love the room design and space - staff were also very helpful. Top marks for the immediate area and location.

繁華街にあり、どこに行くにも便利な立地だった。
部屋から見えた鴨川の景色も非常に京都を感じられて良かった。
乾燥機付きの洗濯機がとても便利だった。
浴槽も広くゆったりリラックスできた。
