I liked that the location was a little tucked back off the busy main streets, but it was still an easy walk to get everywhere. The restaurant and common areas were also pretty nice.
Overall I was very disappointed in this hotel. The pictures online are extremely misleading, as the nice wood-filled rooms are their expensive suites, not the standard rooms (which are never pictured very clearly on the website and are pretty dingy). The door to the balcony didn't fit in the frame and there were gaps that mosquitoes were coming in. There is also an open air vent to the outside in the bathroom, which also allows in mosquitoes and makes the rooms not private to people walking by. The swimming pool wasn't well lit at night, which made it nearly unusable. Overall, I was not happy and would not recommend this place to others.

Très bien situé, au calme par rapport à l'agitation du tourisme de masse de Kuta et aussi pour aller en 10 mn à l'aéroport. La piscine est bien. Le style des bâtiments est ancien, mais cela a son charme et son originalité.
La chambre est sombre et les décors vieillots. Les rideaux étaient jaunes. Une serviette n'était pas propre.

Nothing to not like..
Wonderful location, quite close to the centre of attractions but still off the main road to give us the quiet ambience that we wanted. The beach was a 2-3 minutes walk away. Lots of eateries around so you actually wonder which one to choose. The staff was very helpful. We were checking out very early morning to head off to Nusa Penida and they prepared a well made packed breakfast as early as 6 AM in the morning. The food in the restaurant was very good with an authentic Indonesian touch. The decoration and the upholstery in the room and outside had an excellent heritage touch. Overall a very good experience.

Matress was old and dirty.
A bit extra about the app, it would be nice if Booming.com could let me add more than one photo at a time. Also, I had trouble logging back into my account while I was in Bali. It logged me out and put me into a loop, where the app asked for a mobile number to log myself back in but only offered a Chinese region code of +86. I could not choose any other code from the world and guess what? I didn't have a Chinese mobile number! Even more worrying is how did Booking.com know I am Chinese? Did Booking.com judge by my name or could the app access my gallery, contact list or app list without permission or without me being aware? Or, it just "looked" at my passport photo and decided I could only have a Chinese mobile? Anyway, I don't trust Booking.com any more. This will be the last time I use its service. 永不再见！
