Breakfast good, didn't have dinner. Room good but bathroom very small and room was very hot, although a room fan was provided.

Probably the worst gin and tonic ever!
Lovely location, close to seafront and all amenities, yet tucked away in a quiet corner. Staff were all very polite and professional. Breakfast was outstanding - a wonderful array of dishes. The home-made fruit compote and kedgeree were both delicious. Walk-in shower was lovely. Room was very clean.
My single room was small and quite cramped, with no room to put my small suitcase out of the way. The room was also extremely hot. There was a small fan provided but it was very ineffectual. The heat was quite stifling and made it difficult to enjoy the room.

Great position for exploring Sidmouth , only a short stroll into the town and to the beach . Staff were courteous and helpful. We had a lovely room overlooking the gardens , well appointed and comfortable bed . Very good breakfast choice .
Slight noise from creaking floors above us from other guests moving around but an old building so to be expected. Did not spoil a great stay .

Our room was spotless with a very comfortable super king bed. Easy walk into town. Good breakfast and excellent evening meals, well worth booking in to eat. Perfectly cooked pre-ordered meals with fresh vegetables. All staff were so friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.
There’s nothing not to like really. It’s a little old fashioned in places and I’m not sure whether there were any facilities (like getting a drink or sandwich) available during the daytime. It’s more like an upmarket B&B than a hotel in the conventional sense.
