The Way Phuket Resort

When we arrived at Phuket Airport the Taxi Rank did not know where this hotel was. They googled and phoned and eventually we were taken to the hotel for 650THB. The hotel is off a very busy road, down a dirt track but the staff and owner were absolutely lovely. We arrived about 9.00pm and was hungry. There is a 9/11 nearby but we wanted something hot. The owner arranged for the manager to drive us to the nearby restaurant and came back an hour later to pick us up again. Nothing was too much trouble.
In the morning we had a full English breakfast delivered, fruit juice, water, fruit and then chicken rice and carbonara .... a feast!!!
The hotel is ideal for a one night stopover only certainly not for any longer.

We waren alleen 1 nachtje in dit hotel: kwamen laat aan en moesten heel vroeg weg. De service was goed, maar er was veel herrie van verkeer en omdat we dachten nog ergens te gaan eten, hadden we het eten van het hotel afgezegd - of eigenlijk waren het drive-in-kamers - daarvan hadden we wel spijt toen we best ver langs een gevaarlijke weg aan het wandelen waren.
Wel lekker gegeten.

De manager bracht ons om half 7 voor een zeer vriendelijke prijs naar de ferrie naar Krabi.

The Way Phuket resort isn't exactly a resort but thanks to Tina and a very friendly staff it is an escape. After a small miscommunication about our hotel dates we settled in for the night. The only problem was finding it as not many taxi drivers had heard of it. it is relatively new and very small so it's understandable. Overall it was perfect for one night after a long flight. Not very close to main tourist attractions but since we just wanted it for one night to catch up on sleep after our long flight we didn't mind.

Very close to the airport. A good choice for travellers taking an red-eye plane. The hosts are very hospitable. When we arrived, it was midnight. When we found the hosts were still wating for us, we felt at ease. Everyday you can ask for a morning call and the breakfast can also be served in your room. Flexible time management. I recommend having breakfast with hosts because you can have a talk with them and get more familiar with their local culture and customs. The rooms are large, bright, tidy and comfortable. If you want to go to the beach, you can ask hosts to drive for you and it's only 5-minute-drive. The beach is not crowded and youcan totally relax yourself and have your own privacy. The hosts are local people so they can give you the most convinient and valuable way to enjoy the surround senic spots. They can also introduce some speical route to experience natives' daily life. They are very helpful, warmhearted and hospitable so you can really feel at home there. The most enjoyable moments are talking with hosts. They can also offer very delicious delicacies at a very reasonable price. You can enjoy the minibar for free. It's on the main road so you can reach everywhere easily and there are bus stations around. There are a lot of convinience store and bazaar so you can buy things conveniently. And very close to the local school which is a SAT test center, so if you want to relax yourself after test at phuket, this hotel is definitely a good choice.

This would be a typical Motel in any other country. It was very inexpensive. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. Not breakfast or other food service, though. However a convenience store is close by. Not a place for vacations, but a good place for a one night stay while on the road.
