Que no había televisión , se entiende que uno va a conocer y tal vez lo que menos se ocupa es la habitación, pero en días lluvioso se antoja estar en la habitación y distraerse con un poco de televisión

Hotel does not accept debit/credit cards. I had to go to the bank and pay it all in cash. Also, no TV.
This hotel had the nicest staff. They were so friendly and helpful. However, I was placed in a room with a balcony which I didn't request (and ended up paying extra for it as they viewed it as an upgrade because of the balcony). The hotel was a little rustic but I didn't mind that and the double bed was very comfortable. However, the noise on the street made it difficult to sleep. I had to use earplugs and the fan already in the room for white noise but maybe this is something that is unavoidable in downtown Oaxaca.

Great price for the location and value. The staff was super friendly and worked with my limited spanish. I knew what I was booking and knew that the facilities would just be a clean comfortable room and bed, nothing super fancy which I didn't need for my 2 night stay. If I was staying longer I would probably book somewhere with a nicer shower.
There was no hot water for me to take a comfortable shower. They were super kind to turn it on for me but unfortunately it didn't make much of a difference.

My room was right above the reception. It was very noisy as the windows faced the road with cars. There are two rooms above the reception. I believe only these two rooms are noisy. You can request other rooms with windows that face the patio. It will be much quieter. The room and furniture was a bit old. You need to ask the staff to turn on the gas if you want to have a shower, but the staff did not tell me that when I checked in, so I had some cold showers at first. Room was a bit dark.

it’s a very basic room, but comfortable. you get what you pay for
they do not allow visitors, which I don’t understand. they shut off the water heater at night. had to ask to be turned back on at night (wasn’t a problem at all). they do not take cards! it’s the 21st century, who doesn’t? they only take cash or bank transfer, which can be a pain.
I had a room facing the street. beautiful view but loud at all hours, especially at night with tourists and locals walking back from their night outing. but, you might witness street parades and other events worth watching from a balcony. your call.
I traveled alone so I had enough storage space. there’s only a small desk and small armoire.

Located in the center, i was never too far from all the activities of the city, 5 to 10 minutes of walk from all hotspots.
Simply entering the hotel give a sens of getting away from the city. Inside the hotel is peaceful. The staff is great.
