Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Outdated and very overpriced. It was probably last refurbished in the 1980s. The car park was full, so we had to look for a public car park, which wasn’t cheap. The bed was a small double, and the mattress was very soft and uncomfortable.

Just what we wanted
Pros:

The location, free parking and free wifi were second to none. The buffet breakfast was of a very good quality and with a good range of choices. The staff were extremely helpful - and offered us a complimentary tray of coffee and biscuits in the reception lounge when we checked out. We've stayed her several times before and will probably stay here again!

Cons:

The bathroom/toilet was quite small.

Pros:

The staff, especially for breakfast, are absolutely amazing. The location is also great and the rooms are spacious.

Cons:

The internet goes in and out pretty regularly so I ended up having to use my phone which did not have the best service. Some of the furnishings were beginning to look a little tired, but were definitely clean!

Noisy & poor customer service
Pros:

We have stayed at this hotel 5 times in recent months only due to its location close to family. With the exception of one stay when we were given a small box room it has always impossible to get any sleep due to the noise. I understand it’s an old building but the huge gaps at the bottom of the doors let you hear guests in the other rooms while anyone walking past feels like they are in your room. The hotel feels poorly maintained with noisy heating and lack of hot water.

The customer service is poor. The miserable woman on reception cannot even bring herself to speak when checking in & out. The only redeeming feature is the breakfast is always good & the young women working there are always polite even if they appear to be slightly bullied by the older woman who is supervising them.

It is obvious the hotel is in its final days which is reflected in the staff attitude but an element of professionalism would be nice considering its not cheap for a 3 star hotel.

Pros:
