I've booked on 15th of May Ritz Capital Luanda Angola for 3 nights from 25-28 May on Hotels.com, paid 187 euro, the hotel confirmed the booking.
On the 25th of May we arrived at the hotel and they refused to give us a room because they allegedly terminated contract with Hotels.com on the 19th of May.
We've argued for 4-5 hours, The Ritz Capital hotel managment even admitted that they could see that we paid already but they wouldn't give us a room to stay. We used random guests to translate, called the police etc., it didn't help, no room.
Attached find the letter of Ritz Capital where they instruct their recepcionist not to give room to those who paid for hotels.com or other platforms.
We had to go and find an other hotel middle of the night with all our luggages, of course it was more expensive, and we can consider ourseves lucky to had one for the 3 nights we paid already ...

This hotel is outsanding value for money in a city that is very expensive! An exceptional deal.
Cons:
- Hotel isn't marked. It is located on two floors of a multi-use building, and doesn't have a sign.
-Slight water damage in bathroom

-Oustanding value!
-Great staff - extremely polite and helpful.
-Rooms are very clean and comfortable
-Location is excellent and very convienient to everything in the Luanda Central Business District. Restaurants, tourist sites and shops within easy walking distance from hotel.
-Excellent, generous breakfast service
I am rating this hotel 10/10 because it is such an outsanding deal. I would definately return and stay here again.

Wifi connection was bed , in bathrooms doors are not closing and broken so 2 businesses persons or family with kids can't leave

Realizamos una reserva con una semana de antelación y cuando llegamos nos dijeron que no tenían habitaciones disponibles. Una vergüenza!!!! Nos dejaron tiradas! Les paso lo mismo a otro grupo de chicos. No reservéis!

Room as on the photos, building itself doesn't look like hotel, very difficult to locate

A entrada é praticamente inexistente. Ap chegar dá a impressão de arrependimento da reserva, mas ao subir a escada até o atendimento já melhora. O padrão do quarto é excelente. Há um problema de instabilidade da Internet, além de haver alguns quartos que não recebem sinal. O café da manhã não é nada surpreendente, aliás é muito simples. Quanto aos canais de televisão, são muito restritos, apenas 5 ou 6. Há apenas um de filmes relativamente antigos. No geral a relação custo benefício é boa.

Great stuff, good and helpful service, very satisfied from this hotel..

This hotel is good value for Luanda (which isn't saying much). Rooms are okay, though very small bathrooms. Wifi pretty much works. Breakfast is poor.

The main problem is that, being new, no taxi drivers know where it is, so you can wait 30-60 minutes for a taxi to come to pick you up. The hotel has no arrangement for a car-and-driver service. This was a major problem during my stay, but eventually I realised how close it is to the hotel Epic Sana where you can probably pick up a taxi pretty easily. But that was too late to benefit me.

What really rankled is that the staff would quite happily just let you sit there waiting with no apparent attempt to follow up where the taxi was unless you hassled them.
