This quirky, quiet hotel offers a superb breakfast and large comfortable rooms. There is a lovely after-dinner gathering offered outside in the cool evening air, and the views are fantastic. The map on Expedia is deceiving, however, because access to the village for dinner is downhill—250 feet. One needs to be in excellent hiking condition to get down and then back up! One big plus—we were there in mid-July and did not need any air Conditioning! The mountain air is cool and refreshing!

The accommodation and surrounding environment was lovely.

The common areas of the old stone farmhouse are beautiful. The rooms are adequate. The property is tranquil, and walkable to the Old Town, although down a bit of a hill.

Un couple très sympathique et accueillant, c’était pour un déplacement professionnel, tout à été fait pour que je sois la plus à l’aise possible, merci pour le dîner au coin du feu de cheminée, un très bel endroit bien situé.

A lovely provincial hotel in Sarlat & we enjoyed the breakfast. Very pleasant hosts & their dog Mario was a treat. Our only issue was that they said they had a problem with Wotif/Expedia passing on our payment & as we had to pay again on check out, & now are in negotiations with Wotif to get our money back. We have to wait 3 days so we do not yet know how easy Wotif is going to make the resolution to a problem of their making. Hopefully it will be ok

Nice country setting close to everything. Owners very helpful .

Managed by the owners who were most gracious and helpful. We used it as a base to explore the Dordogne region and it was very convenient. The historic property was well maintained and clean. We especially enjoyed drinking wine under the chestnut tree as the sun set!! Again. Owners were most gracious hosts.

This is a very pretty hotel and the new owners are very friendly and helpful. It is a short walk into town and don’t be put off by the reviews saying it’s a steep hill.. it’s not that bad! The room had everything we needed and was comfortable and the bathroom had a really good shower. The gardens are available to guests as well and they provide a bar in the early evening so you can enjoy a drink before you go into town. We didn’t use the pool as it wasn’t the weather for it but it looked very inviting.

This hotel has all the charm of a country setting (beautiful park, old trees and shrubs with lots of tables and chairs to enjoy a glass of wine or pastis) friendly, easy-going informality, and quality (nice rooms and great breakfasts), in an old XIVth Century farmhouse, just a few minutes away from medieval Sarlat.
You can also enjoy a swim or a good book by the large swimming pool.

Despite being within walking distance of Sarlat, really peaceful place, comfortable room, good breakfast & beautiful surroundings, Therese was very helpful and welcoming. Would love to go back when hopefully weather was better!

Un accueil charmant de Therese et Laurent vous offre un bienvenue inoubliable, leur hôtel offre une comfort qui offre une chance de vive une expérience dans le 15 ieme siècles que moi et Line avons adoré. Ils ont donné des suggestions de restaurant, de loisirs etc… Le déjeuner parfait avec plusieurs pain aux noix, autre pain, fromage, confitures préparer pas Laurent. 14th Century building! Interesting. Just up the hill from town Center. Quiet. Nice surroundings

Beautiful old property in lovely edge of town location. Fantastically friendly and welcoming hosts. Delicious breakfast to send us on our way too. Would definitely visit again.

Hotel muito ruim. O quarto é minúsculo, a janela é minúscula, a porta do quarto é estreita e tem cerca de 1,50 metros de altura. Para entrar é necessário se curvar. O teto é em declive e só é possivel ficar em pé em uma parte do quarto. O dormitório é claustrofóbico, mesmo para mim que não tenho claustrofobia. O hotel fica longe da cidade e o acesso é bastante complicado, mesmo para quem tem, como eu, GPS. O preço é caríssimo. No dia anterior (sábado) fiquei em um hotel 3 estrelas no centro da cidade e o preço foi bem menor. A relação custo/benefício é péssima. Fiz uma viagem de 2 meses por toda a França e esse foi o pior e mais caro hotel onde me hospedei. Não consigo entender porque o hotel tem 3 estrelas e nem porque é tão bem avaliado. Não se iluda com as fotos da piscina, porque depois de tomar sol a seu redor voce vai para a cela da prisão, que é seu quarto. Como se não bastasse, o cachorro do hotel me atacou.

A lovely hotel ran by lovely people within walking (albeit fairly steep uphill on the way back) distance of Sarlat. Thoroughly recommended.
