Thuong Hai Hotel

The hotel is located nicely in the center of Phong Nha close to restaurants and a few shops.
The owner, Mr. Giang, is a very friendly and nice person, and he showed us great flexibility and helped us a lot during our stay there.
The rooms are spacious and light. The bathrooms are a bit worn down, but have the necessary facilities. Breakfast is simple but made fresh for you.
We had a nice stay here thanks to the incredible hospitality of Mr. Giang and his team.

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. Our first room was in terrible condition—there was mold on the ceiling, and the entire room felt damp, even the bedsheets were moist. The air had a musty, earthy smell, which was quite unpleasant. Additionally, the room was dirty, with dust and cobwebs in the corners. In the bathroom, there was a hole in the wall and no hand soap provided.

After complaining, we were given a new room the next day, but unfortunately, it was only slightly better. While still not ideal, at least it was an improvement.

On the positive side, the staff was helpful in arranging a driver for us, which made it easier to explore the area. Their assistance in this regard was appreciated, but overall, the poor room conditions made our stay far from enjoyable. I would not recommend this hotel.

Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Can book tours directly from the front desk and rent scooters. In the centre of town with lots of restaurant options around and close to the caves. Definitely would recommend if you're visiting Phong Nha!

We booked 1 room but were given 2 rooms on arrival. We asked if it is a mistake or an upgrade without cost. They said there will be extra cost so we demand to give us the room we book and they switch us back to the original room we booked. The property is clean and in walkable distance (about 1000 ft) to the Phong Nha boat tour.

The staff where extremely helpful and welcoming. The asisted me in organizing my travel and transportation plans. The room was spacious and beautiful. The view was also beautiful.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. She made sure that every guest was happy and did not have to worry about nothing. I would definitely recommend this place.

The staff was very nice, helped to book activities and buses, also we arrived at 4am and they let us check in in the middle of the night without extra charge!

A ggod locztion for access to local shops and eateries. Reception can organise excellent full day tours. Good complimentary breakfast cooked fresh for you. Lovely people.

We stayed at Thuong Hai a couple of times. The hotel was clean and modern. Wifi is good. There are lots of restaurants around and a lovely bakery. The boats to Phong Nha cave are a short walk away. Breakfast was cooked to order and when we had a 6:50am pickup they started the breakfast service half an hour early.
The staff were keen to offer us tours but not pushy when we declined.
The only negative was finding our room key left unattended on top of the counter at reception.

Went to Phong Nha Ke Bang to see caves. Had a wonderful time. Hotel was very hospitable. More than I expected for $20/ night.

We arrived Phong Nha 4 am in the morning and was a bit nervous if the reception was open. It was and we got to check in early for the nice price of 100000 VND.

Ended up staying here for 3 nights. The service was amazing!

Relatively cheap hotel in the center of Phong Nha. We had an open shower leaving the whole bathroom wet after each shower. We had a nice view of Phone Nha at our balcony. The breakfast only includes 1 dish and 1 beverage, which is okay if you consider the price per night.
The owner of the hotel is really helpful and is the highlight of this hotel. He wants to help and does not wanna rip you off. We booked our trip to Paradise Cave 7km through him and got a very good price. The motorbike rental was also very cheap (70k Dong for a day).

I highly recommend this place for caving excursions nearby. I had a balcony room which was a great value for the money. Much better than a hostel for about the same price.

I was upgraded to a balcony room. I was very happy with the room and service. The price was excellent for the quality of the accommodation. I highly recommend.
