Wonderful Hotel & Owners
Pros:

Thuong Hai Hotel Phong Nha
Wonderful family run hotel. Owner was extremely helpful with celebration. Great pool, great location, great breakfast.
We entered the hotel via the basement/garage and it initially felt a bit dark and strange. We were soon greeted by the owner and she lead us up to the correct reception. The stairs outside looked more like a tour operator office but we learnt this is very common in Vietnam.
The owner was so lovely and she helped me surprise my wife with an anniversary celebration. She organised a day trip for us so she could decorate our room and organised flowers, a cake and some wine for us while we were out.
My wife was suitably impressed when we walked back in and the owner really helped make our day.
The hotel has a lovely pool and we were given recommendations for restaurants, one of which we tried and was fantastic.
The hotel has 2 x upper levels for great views, some games and a breakfast/bar area.
Breakfast was wonderful with a simple menu that seemed to cater for most tastes and regions/cultures.

Pros:

Nice hotel with central location, swimming pool and parking are avaliable, nice view from the roof terrace. Helpful staff they can help you to book trips, tickets, motorbike, everything during your staying

Pros:

Nice balcony with great view.
Very good location!

Cons:

First of all, though the bathroom looked okay, it happened twice that there was no water. It happened once while one of us was pooping, so the room started to smell bad. Also the staff never apologised or even told us the water was going to turn off. The receptionist told us once it would take 10 minutes but it took another hour.
Secondly, the water that came out of the shower and sink occasionally smelled horrible and was probably also very unhygienic.
To conclude we were not able to pay by card even though it is stated you can. We had to use all of the cash we had left to pay.

If you want a mediocre stay, come here. The beds are fine and if you leave your key in the room, you can leave the airconditioning on so the room will also have a pretty good temp.

Expensive for what it offers
Pros:

Staff were always trying to help, the hotel is centrally located, and it would be acceptable if it wasn't so expensive.

Cons:

- We had to pay for the hotel in cash, which almost used up all our money. As a result, we were very limited during our stay in Phong Nha. There are no ATMs in the area without high fees, and there have even been cases of credit card data being stolen. I find it unacceptable to shift the responsibility onto guests to bring enough cash.

- The hygiene was extremely poor. We had a trail of ants and several geckos in the room. Some parts of the room clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a long time, and the fixtures were rusty and covered in limescale.

- The soundproofing in the room was very bad.

- The pool was completely dirty and full of dead insects; honestly one of the most disgusting pools I have ever seen.

De locatie is fijn. Het zwembad is groot en best diep. Maar het personeel is het beste.

Cons:

Er was niemand bij de rooftopbar, gelukkig mochten we er wel gewoon zitten en moesten we even doorgeven hoeveel bier we uit de koelkast hadden gepakt.

Pros:

Alles war perfekt. Preisleistung ist super.
Besonders das Personal ist perfekt gewesen. So wünscht man sich das. Man hat sich sofort nach dem herzlichen Empfang wohl gefühlt.

Le personnel était hyper serviable, acceuillant et souriant. Le petit-déjeuner compris sur le rooftop était parfait. La piscine est grande et rafraîchissante. Le balcon donnait face à la rue et la vue sur les montagnes est superbe. L'emplacement est top.

Cons:

Manque d'insonorisation. Aurait besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement plus particulier pour la salle de bain. Salle de bain à l'italienne, perso je n'aime pas ce concept.

Più o meno un ostello con camere private.
Pros:

Posizione buona, sulla strada principale, comoda per prendere bus e altri mezzi. Il proprietario in reception è stato super disponibile e ci ha permesso di fare una doccia la sera prima di ripartire. Qualità/prezzo onesta (la colazione si paga a parte).

Cons:

Colazione estremamente basic. Le camere da letto sono vecchie, spoglie e poco curate. Pulite il giusto. Nel bagno la doccia è con i sanitari e non c’era acqua calda.

Pros:

Insgesamt sehr gut, ein tolles Frühstück mit viel Obst, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, ein wunderschöner Pool und vor allem ein sehr engagierter und hilfsbereiter Besitzer, der unter anderem mit viel Einsatz Touren für uns organisiert hat.
