Aloft Riyadh

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. The breakfast was fantastic — a great way to start the day. What really stood out was the amazing staff; they were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had a pleasant stay. I arrived late at night after a long flight, and they kindly offered me a complimentary late check-out, which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommended!

When i arrived the room waa very hot. They did not have the AC on. The room was clean however the shower had broken tiles and the soap dispenser was not there a small bottle of soap was put in its place. The wifi was very slow i called the desl about this several times

Missing the ‘Marriott Touch’
I stayed at Aloft a couple of times in the UAE and noticed now, one is in Riyadh. Wanting a change from the regular ‘marriott ‘ i decided to book the hotel. Small things that need improvement: aircon - too loud and cannot be adjusted ( temp, fan speed)
Staff is very friendly and helpful but seems to have limited authority… tried the buffet at ‘ Dish’ restaurant - food was perfect and so was the variety- good value for money. Internet speed could be better but was good enough for a 3 day business stay

The hotel was just ok, the staff are just average, the rooms are average, the room service is so bad , the phones don’t work and the replacement of towels and coffee/ teas and cups and water bottles, are not good. Nothing to welcome you( no biscuits) dull and boring if you are on holiday . If you are on business it’s okay . No hotel experience

The Riyadh Aloft hotel is not a good business or holiday travel option. Check-in took a long time, partly due to the front desk staff working with unhappy guests. Once I got checked in, my room had not been cleaned, so I had to go back downstairs for a new room assignment.

The gym and pool are scheduled by gender. As a male, I learned the hard way that I could not exercise or enjoy the outdoor pool during the late morning or afternoon. If you want to enjoy the pool with your spouse or children, you are out of luck. I certainly want to be respectful of culture, but I've not observed this practice at other hotels that I have stayed at in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh Courtyard by Marriott, Riyadh Marriott, and Jeddah Marriott). As a Titanium Elite Bonvoy member, I stay at a lot of Marriott properties around the world. Aloft is one of my least favorite lines in the Marrott Portfolio. Their tagline is Different by design. The line is different, but in my opinion, not in a good way.

I would like to express my deepest disappointment on how the Hotel handled my complaint and the unfortunate events that occurred during the stay.

i was met by the Duty Manager Ghennam, he apologized and promised to compensate for the inconvenience. He gave me a choice of having the first night comp and waiving the charges or upgrade into a suite during my next stay. I have informed him that I would like to have my first night comp as I will never come back to stay in Aloft due to the terrible experience. he promised that it would be done and that the next day upon checkout will have confirmation.

However, the next day upon check out, the receptionist had no idea about anything, no handover was given to the morning shift, no apologies were extended upon check out nor was asked on how my stay was. Furthermore, I was promised that my first night would be credited along with points since it was done automatically as they cancelled my reservation as explained before in my first email, yet until now nothing has been done.

I definitely won’t recommend the Hotel to anyone

We had a very pleasant experience from the moment we entered the property till we left. From Mr. Mohamed Moazam and Mr. Fakrul Islam helping with daily needs to Mr. Nazir and his team at breakfast, this hotel has very friendly folks around. The central location in Olaya close to many sites is less than a 10 minute walk to the metro. Will definitely stay here when we return!
