The fact that an additional deposit it taken which is the same amount as the actual booking.
This is not just holding a card on record it is a physical payment held as pending - it is now 36 hours since I checked out and this extra deposit has not been returned. Very poor system from a premium brand. I should definitely not be chasing to get deposits refunded. The invoice only shows the correct amount. Refund this deposit immediately- that is the reason for a score of 1

Türkiye'den Fuar katılımcısı olarak yer aldığımız R+T Asia fuarına Otelin dışına çıkmadan, içinden yürüyerek bağlantı olması son derece güzel ve pratikti.

Cons:

Çin genel olarak çok temiz ve güzel bir ülke, ancak yemek damak tadı olarak sadece biz Türkler için değil, diğer Avrupa ülkelerinden gelenler turistler için de son derece baharatlı, etrafta ağız tadıyla yemek yiyebileceğiniz güzel bir restoran yok, olanlardan da çok ağır bir koku geliyor ve yemek yiyemiyorsunuz.
Otel restoranında güzel kuzu ve dana kızartması yapan bir usta bulmalarını tavsiye ederim.

I would definitely stay there again for the next NECC conventions.
Pros:

Breakfast buffet and Nespresso coffee machine in the room are the best. Very polite housekeepers including the staff from the lobby too. The hotel is very accessible to NECC Shanghai Hongqiao.

Cons:

Nothing to be disliked. I loved most of the days there. They were too responsive and understanding.

Muy buen hotel para visitar el predio ferial
Pros:

Excelente hotel, con una ubicacion inmejorable, si uno viene a una exposicion en el NECC, estas dentro del predio ferial comunicado directamente con el hotel. Habitaciones muy comodas, gran limpieza. Muy bueno el desayuno. nosotros tuvimos el beneficio del club, que realmente es muy recomendable para reuniones de negocios, que ademas se pueden complementar con snacks y bebidas, hasta las 23 horas. esta muy cerca del centro de conexiones de Hoonquiao y ademas el metro conecta con el centro y el otro aeropuerto de la ciudad

A comfortable stay in a good facility. Lacking in service.
Pros:

For what I am paying and the hotel brand I expect more. There was no one to greet me at any point outside the front door. Whether arriving for the first time or coming back after being off site.

As I grow older, I finally come to appreciate InterContinental hotels.
Pros:

I've been reviewing hotels for years, and I realize I rarely praise for IHG. I don't stay at their properties very often, nor do I use their IHG One Reward program. I always thought InterContinental leaned too heavily into a business-oriented style. Chasing after various hotel brands over the years, I ended up overlooking it.

I picked InterContinental Shanghai Hongqiao NECC out of all eight InterContinental locations in Shanghai. And honestly, it hit me, I finally understand its charm as I grew older.

Built around the MICE industry, InterContinental has always excelled at operating hotels attached to major exhibition venues. It serves as the key hotel partner for two of China's largest events: the Canton Fair and the China International Import Expo. Its strength speaks for itself. It may not dazzle you at first sight, but it grows on you the longer you stay. With reasonable rates, it delivers consistently solid and pleasant experiences.
