Bahía de la Luna

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Bahía de la Luna. Cino greeted us as we arrived to the hotel late from the airport. They had saved up a meal for us upon our arrival. Irvin and the rest of the crew made us feel very welcomed. They attended to all of our needs without hesitation.

Bahia de la Luna is a gem inside the dangerous passage to the beautiful La Boquilla Bay. The place is beautiful and the staff goes beyond to provide a good service. However, getting there is tricky and only for the brave, especially during rain seasons. Therefore, if renting a car highly recommend 4X4 to handle the stiff dirt road ahead. Or get a taxi they know how to navigate it. Because this little piece of paradise is so remote, the dining accessibility is also scarce. While the hotel offers breakfast, lunch and dinners, it is a limited menu.

The place is isolated and requieres a 4wd to safely get there since the road is in really bad shape and steep. The cabins are rustic and hot but clean. There were a lot of wasp in the common areas in the cabins. The food was good, the staff friendly was but the beach wasnt as pleasant as described: rough sand, debris and some trash and sighly violent sea. At night looks fantastic.
Additinally, prices showed in this website were way higher that those ahowed in google for example. Good to be at the beach during the day but not to stay in the cabins.

This hotel is located in an amazing beach, the food is extraordinary and the service as well.

We had amazing two days in this inspiring resort by one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico. Friendly staff, welcoming and homely attitude, excellent food, plenty of opportunities for deep relaxation, good place to be peaceful and tranquil. And it feels like you are in real Mexico

Incredible location wonderful staff good food

We had a terrific weekend stay here. It is located on a gorgeous secluded beach. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were very pleased with the food. The dinner especially was delicious.
We were glad to learn before hand from another review that drinking water is not supplied in the cabins! Come prepared for the duration of your stay as you will not want to have to leave.
There is lots of wildlife around. We missed the boat for whale watching but we heard it was incredible and we were jealous of those who went.

The main road was is a little tricky so just be aware it’s not paved. There’s also little signal at least for my carrier. But the wifi is great. The location is worth it

Bastante agradable para desconectarte de todo y estar con la naturaleza. El único pero es que para llegar al hotel hay que pasar un tramo de terrazeria pero vale la pena por la vista y la playa que por su difícil acceso parece privada lo que le da un toque fantástico

This is a very special secluded spot if you are looking to escape and get away from it all. The view and the beach are incredible. Staff are very pleasant and welcoming but most do not speak any English so brush up on your Spanish in advance. WIFI is only available during the day but this suited us just fine. Only criticism is the mattress. We stayed in the Neptuno cottage and the mattress was like cement. We were so sore after 2 days we would not have lasted any longer so I had an amazing massage right at the property and that really helped. I should mention we have a very soft mattress at home. Overall it’s a magical place and you won’t be disappointed.

Increíble

Servicio excelente, sin embargo se fue la luz y falto el agua. Solicitamos cambio de habitación por este inconveniente y no fue posible. Debieron reembolsarnos una noche por este inconveniente ya que no es una zona segura el camino hacia la habitación. Solicitamos una lámpara y no tenían. Nos dieron una botella de vino en cortesía que cuesta $100 pesos. A todos les cambiaban habitación excepto a nosotros.

Me fue muy mal, para llegar al hotel, se rompio un amortiguador de mi coche por que el camino esta muy feo, nunca llegue al hotel

If you wanna get out of the noisy city this is the place! The beach is beautiful, very friendly staff and I would reaaaallly recommend get the dinner on the beach, a totally unique experience

Vale mucho las cenas, tienen una chef excelente y las vistas son increíbles.

El camino de llegada es relativamente fácil de seguir salvo por quién inventó Google Maps.

Fue una de las mejores experiencias encontrar este hotel
