Short stay
Pros:

Great location, easy access, comfortable stay, beatiful view on the sunrise, even thought I'm not so sure it is worthing to pre-select the room, as I did. You feel home thanks to the kindness of staff, anytime.

Clean quiet and central
Pros:

Very clean, quiet at night, just perfect for what we needed for our short break in London. Breakfast was an option if you wanted, too service and a bar in reception, drinks vending machine if you wanted to get your own and a Tesco Express just a few doors up for buying anything else food and drink wise whenever you wanted it

Great place to stay with teenagers
Pros:

Great place to stay for anyone that uses Liverpool st, Moorgate and/or Old Street stations as these were all easy to get too. Excellent lifts and easy to use stairs if you prefer. Room was quiet (for centre of a city) and clean with everything working. Fresh towels, milk and bin emptying daily by door handle sign request. Good price for the area. Foyer was nice with people buzzing about. Staff were friendly and professional.

Pros:

The reason why I’ve rated the experience as “poor”:
I could hardly settle when trying to sleep as I could more or less hear every conversation that was happening outside of my room.

I was not fussed with the breakfast that was available. The bacon was dry, as if it had been sitting there for a while. And the sausages had a weird tasted that I didn’t like. There were also no beans available at the time, which was a shame as I love beans on my breakfast. I couldn’t find a member of staff at that moment in time to tell this to, so I just left my food.

Cleanliness was as you’d expect in a hotel, so no complaints there.

Bed Bugs and Dirty Hotel
Pros:

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment I walked through the door, I have many people saying there were bed bugs on floor 5 and above, which is where my room was. As I entered my food I was faced with a disgusting room. My bathrooms had hairs in the plug hole, stained towels. The bed sheets were covered in yellow stains and i began itching and came up in a full body rash minutes after sitting on it. As i walked over to the other side of the room i saw, food crumbs all over the chair and food and rackets all outside my window. When speaking to the receptionist, they offer me a change of room, but by this time i just wanted to get out. They weren’t overly concerned or apologetic.

Expensive and annoying.
Pros:

I was one person and for some reason I had two single beds setup along side the double bed which basically removed any space I had in the room.

Temperature was annoying as no way to cool it down which led to poor sleep.

Bath was so narrow at the bottom I nearly fell out of it when in the shower.
Shower curtain allowed the water through so floor was soaked when I got out.
No glass in bathroom for rinsing after brushing teeth.
Basin and Mirror in bathroom had clearly not been cleaned for a long time, water literally stayed stationary in sink and I had to clean the mirror to use it.
Mirror in room was layered with dust.

Breakfast day one was about as dry as it could be, and I went down at 6:30 to avoid that.
Breakfast day two was almost as bad, sausages were not dry at least, but the annoyance day two was the clear verbal argument going on in the kitchen throughout my meal, with one very loud women sounding to win out - proper shouting row.

I made the mistake of getting a can of Pepsi from the bar which cost me a lovely £3.89!

The reception staff were lovely. However whilst sat drinking said can of Pepsi while doing a little work in the evening, a fracas occurred, two staff gentlemen came in from outside smelling strongly of marijuana and proceed to walk past the reception desk and into the back, followed promptly by a women complaining that she had just been attacked by the two men who had taken her phone. The phone incident may or may not have been true, the women did not come across as sober. But the smell of the two gentlemen was unmistakable.

All told with breakfast it was £340 for a 2 night stay (Tuesday and Wednesday nights)

I have in the last 20 years stayed at so many Travelodge's I couldn't possible work out how many, and the standard has always been clean, breakfast can be hit and miss, I see breakfast more as a convenience though so it doesn't really bother me. But there are clearly staff issues here from housekeeping to kitchen and whoever the two gentlemen that passed through to the back were.

I would not intentionally stay here again.

Amazing stay!
Pros:

We went for a nice date night, which turned into two date nights. We loved the breakfast so much. There were so many things to eat, fresh coffee from a machine. Juice and water machine as well.
The reception staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. I met such a sweet boy there. Security is on another level.
We’ve been there twice last year, but I wasn’t that impressed before. The rooms are renovated now – very, very clean.
I met two of the housekeeping girls. I don’t remember their names: one sweet blonde girl poor thing, she was very tired, and another girl with very long hair who was absolutely amazing, helpful, and very polite. I really appreciate their hard work.
A big thank you. We felt welcomed, and we will come again.

The best Travelodge experience to date
Pros:

Stayed here on a last-minute business trip. The overnight staff were very accommodating and checking me in at such a late hour. The best thing about a Travelodge is you always know that you’re gonna get a clean and presentable room which can be hit or miss in central London.

The morning staff were equally as pleasant. The cheerful and chilled vibe in the morning they all created made for a great start to a super busy day.

Highly recommend this location

Sheniz from travel lodge central city road
Pros:

I just wanted to share how grateful I am for the outstanding help I received from Sheniz during my stay. Traveling with two kids can be quite stressful, especially when you’re worried about disturbing other guests because children can be noisy. Sheniz completely understood this and went out of her way to make sure we had the right room so that everyone could be comfortable.
She took her time, listened carefully to my concerns, and handled everything with such patience, kindness, and professionalism. Her friendly attitude instantly made the experience smoother and far less stressful for me and my family.
It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about making guests feel at ease, and Sheniz truly made my day. She is a fantastic member of your team and absolutely deserves recognition for the effort she puts into helping guests. If anyone deserves a pay rise, it’s definitely her!
Thank you, Sheniz, for making our stay so much easier and more enjoyable.
