Travelodge Gatwick Airport Central

Quiet room. Food was lovely. Staff on reception and in the restaurant were very welcoming.

I was quickly checked into my family room, which was a large double room on the four floor with a view of Gatwick Airport. The room had tea and coffee and a TV and heating and the bathroom had a large bath tub and shower.

Very convenient and close to Gatwick Airport Terminals.

Great experience will definetly consider booking again for early morning flights from Gatwick rooms clean beds very comfortable staff friendly.

We arrived at Gatwick Airport Hotel to a warm welcome after a long journey.
The staff at reception and in the bar were all so friendly and helpful and after seeing someone else’s steak pie I decided on that.
It did not disappoint and with a glass of Shiraz it was just what we needed.
The meal deal meant that pudding was only an additional £2 so we followed with sticky toffee pudding and cream.
I forgot to take photos of the steak pie and wine as I was too busy enjoying it!
I’ve added photos of the sticky toffee pudding and the Camden Pale Ale instead.
Early night now ready for the Hoppa bus from the front door straight to the airport.
Great place to stay ready for an early morning flight.

We both had the sizzling chicken, which came with thick cut chips, corn on the cob and salad. All was much better quality than we expected from a travelodge restaurant.
The room was spacious and very accessible for my partners wheelchair. Including a shower wet room.
Receptionist staff were exceptionally helpful as well.

To be honest I stay here fairly regularly it’s been recently refurbished great well stocked breakfast and restaurant … the rooms are good size with en-suite bathroom and tv … comes highly recommended

Very convenient for Gatwick airport via the Hoppa bus. We had a very good value meal in the hotel restaurant combined with a good value room. Recommended for a.m. flights.

Plenty of car parking spaces.
Reception was friendly and well informed.
Restaurant food was ok. Grandson had Pizza and chips which was delicious.
I had cheeseburger & chips which was standard pub grub.
Staff were very friendly and attentive.
Only downside was no tv on Champions League night.

Nice atmosphere in the restaurant, food good as with most travelodges. Rooms are very nice modern and clean, bath is huge and very relaxing.

Restaurant/bar was nice and clean, looked newly refurbished. Not many vegetarian options. Was very hot inside. Food was nice though, large portions. And particular acknowledgement to our server Rampa, he was incredibly informative, polite, happy and friendly.

Excellent value for money, smooth check in and car parking. Very helpful reception staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was very nice and the restaurant staff were attentive, friendly and keen to help.

When a bag was accidentally left behind at the travel lodge and wasn’t noticed until we were at airport security, the staff at the Travelodge were extremely helpful in locating the bag and reuniting it with its panicking owner and we made the flight in time. We were very grateful to all involved!

We would definitely use Travelodge Gatwick again. Thank you.

We always stay here when flying gatwick south.

Rooms are generally a competitive price, basic (but includes kettle with in the foyer the ability to refill your tea and sugar etc and snack machines)

Bed is comfortable and basic tv, spare pillows (we have in the past had issues in finding the soap dispensers empty or only the bath one full on a number of occasions, so always bring soap as a backup, but over last year has improved 100%!

Purchasing the wifi for 24 hours is worth it and you can have two devices or half an hour free.

Large Restaurant is fine, they gave it a makeover a couple of years ago and looks much better, quite a good selection of food including for those vegs and calories values detailed.

Service was quick and my Wife tried the new Moroccan dish which was very nice she said, followed by sticky toffe pudding not one for the calorie counter however!

The hotel is served by a Hoppa bus which runs regular, 3/4 times a hour , from outside the hotel to the north and south terminals, so very easy to get to the terminal whatever the time!

We were seated by Rampa, who recognised us (I’m the one in the bright blue Blazer Rampa!) from previous visits which was a nice touch and amazing he remembered us, considering how many people must pass him! Rampa explained the menu ordering and subsequently checked with us once the food was served, whether everything was ok.

My only observation/cristicism is why don’t travelodge have a loyalty scheme as many hotels and Businesses have? The amount of time and money, we have spent here over the past 15 years I’m sure would have entitled us to a free room for a night!

Gatwick Airport Central has been refurbished and looks fantastic now. Rooms are very comfortable. Staff are all very helpful.
Good food in the restaurant as well.

I arrived at around 1:30 pm and was told that check-in was at 3 pm. A receptionist then offered me an early check-in for 15 pounds, which I turned down. This means that they have a room available, want to see how desperate you are trying to check in, and are willing to fork out 15 pounds. Not impressed. Wi-fi is free for the first 30 minutes of the day, and if you wish to have extended use, it's just a little over 3 pounds for 24 hours of internet. Again, not impressed. I decided to order a flat white and did some work in the restaurant until 3 pm. The room was large and seemed clean. Comfy bed and I fell asleep almost immediately. The breakfast is continental and the dinner menu has a good selection. If you're just having a pitstop in London and wish to get to Gatwick Airport, this is an excellent location. There's a shuttle bus to and from the South and North terminals for 5 pounds. Sure beats taking the cab or Uber. It's quite frequent - every 30 minutes or so. I could hear a screaming kid a few rooms down, but that only lasted momentarily.

We stopped here for a night between flights and the staff were incredibly welcoming and eager to help. Jonathan the manager was particularly good and went out of his way to help with our food order to eat in the room. Would absolutely recommend staying here instead of spending more on the other airport hotels

The travelodge was great for Gatwick Airport, shuttle bus dropped you of at the hotel (hoppa stops at airport£9 return bus stance 11 . I can say it’s the nicest travelodge I’ve ever stayed in,staff went out of they’re way to help, all the staff were excellent.food in restaurant was really good, rooms were really clean and comfortable, good value for money. Would definitely stay here again

Nice rooms, nice good size bar, plenty of seats, tv's for the sports fans, pleasant service desk, bar and waiting staff, enjoyed the food, slightly limited on choice but all nice what our party had, reasonable prices was a definite bonus.
Nice location to the airport

I have stayed at Travelodge Gatwick Central twice now and on both occasions been struck by how friendly and helpful the staff there are. From Reception to the cleaning staff to everyone who works in the restaurant/bar area. Really welcoming, and particularly appreciated if you're on your own. Thank you for your amazing customer service! :)
