Wish I had booked elsewhere!!
Pros:

We came for a 10 day stay, arrived at 11pm with a map drawn of how to get to our room, in the pitch black, after finding the building we then went into the lift as we were on the 6th floor, this then broke down into pitch black. It was never fixed the whole holiday so up and down 6 flights of stairs multiple times a day. Bedding and towels changed once. Even had to go out and buy our own toilet roll. Hardly any staff to get help from either. Safe to say we wont be returning! Bulgaria itself is the only thing that made up for it, the restaurants and bars were brilliant, beach is about 15 mins walk away but very nice once there!

Too big
Pros:

Nice complex but very hard to navigate when you get there in the dark. We were given a map which wasn’t very helpful. Not enough lighting and no signs directing you. It took us over an hour to find the room and that was only because two boys directed us.
The security staff were not very helpful either.
The complex itself was too far away from the beach and restaurants.
The room was dark due to all the tall trees surrounding it but the pools were lovely but cold.
I’ve been to Bulgaria many times but this is not a place I would go back to, there are many more which are much nicer

Amazing 10 Day in Bulgaria 🌞
Pros:

We booked a Large Studio Deluxe, and when we checked in we got a 2 Bedroom Apartment. More that happy, it was clean and had all the essentials. I would only say it was very basic, could do with lamps next to the bed (had to get out to turn the light off) and could do with abit of art work etc to soften. We were in Block 15 floor 4. Fortunately we were right next to the last pool with the bar (we don't have kids) The complex is massive, thank god thry give you a map!! We were self catering, but didnt use the restaurants on site so carnt comment on them. The little shops onsite were well stocked and decent priced. The bakery onsite was good too, but it closed on out 2nd week there. For anyone that doesn't know the area, or are new to Sunny Beach, I would recommend having data on your phone to use Google maps to get around.
Check out was 12pm, we did sit around the afternoon waiting for our transfer to the airport... I didnt think to ask about if there was a room to use for showers etc, but after speaking to people also waiting for there flight back, there was a shower available to use if you wanted. We would definitely go back to Cascadas another year!!!

Okay resort
Pros:

Good resort with a good choice of pools, wasn’t too busy for end of August. Breakfast dining area was quite poor the choice and quality of food wasn’t good at all, I advise anyone staying here to go off the site for good quality of food and drinks and service. The main Italian restaurant was average, the service and quality was hit and miss and sometimes we waited quite a while for dishes to come out. We were a family of 8 and we all got meals at different times and didn’t feel like we were eating together with wait times. The room service was poor you are advised that you get fresh towels and bedding on certain days but this never happened, so we had to keep complaining to reception and even then it took an extra 2 days for anything to be done, as a family of 8 we had 3 separate apartments and it was the same service in all 3. Overall it was a good place to stay, nothing to write home about.

Stay away unless you want to get poorly
Pros:

Well we're do I start with this hotel, firstly we arrived at 12am it was quite dark and the complex is big there was nobody to show us to our room just got given a map which was hard to see as not many night lights outside found the room eventually the room itself was lovely but we noticed it was very cold we thought it was due to it raining that day, we went out for abit come back and the room was freezing we had to sleep in our cotton tracksuits the next day the room was still absolutely freezing I noticed it was completely in the shade all day so we complained and asked for a room change as I have serve asthma and the cold room was affecting me got told to come back the next day I slept fully dressed for the first 3 days it was absolutely boiling outside but freezing in our room the next day we went back to reception to ask about the room change as my chest was getting worse, we was told it would be €50 to change which we wasn't happy about as it was due to my health so asked to speak to the manager well the 3 managers were very rude about it and wasn't listening, saying we have to pay because they have to pay the cleaners I made it clear if I stayed in that room I will end up very poorly in hospital we argued for around 10 minutes we even said come and see for yourself how cold it was which they refused, the male manager told us to drink red wine like it was a joke in the end we got a new room and it was a lot better for my chest but when I got home after my holiday I ended up in hospital with pneumonia and I know it's from the room being so cold and it being boiling outside. The room got cleaned once and we was there for 9 nights 10 days we got new towels twice in that time even though we asked for more, the sheet's wasn't changed at all we asked for new sheets multiple times and didn't get any the room was cleaned once in that time dirty. The rooms was also very loud we could hear everything people slamming doors all hours people going up and down the stairs the noise of the other toilets didn't have more than 4 hours sleep each night. Also the one day the room was cleaned they let the balcony door and net door wide open for mosquitos and anything else to get in which they did and we was bitten. We even had to buy our own toilet roll cause we only got given new ones once.
Not many maps round the complex or signs to say we're the different pools and that are they just give you a map when you check in.
The main pool was always very busy people putting towels down and going all day but keeping towels there and going down early to get sunbeds.
On our last full night when we arrived back we seen a group of people with hotel security and the police the next day we got told of two young's lads that their apartment along with others on the ground floor was broken into and they had clothes money and other items taken from them and apparently this isn't the first time apartments in the complex on the ground floor have been broken into.
The hotel is around 15 mins to the beach front. The only nice member of staff I personally spoke to was the guy at the poor bar he was very nice apart from that I found the staff rude and unhelpful. We asked for late check out which was €50 they do have a room to keep suitcases but it didn't have a lock and was right by the main door and the security was at the back of reception anyone could of gone in and took something really.
Overall the stay wasn't the best and I definitely wouldn't book here again.

Lovely hotel
Pros:

This hotel is absolutely lovely, I was panicking from reading some of the negative reviews before we arrived. I needn’t have worried.
Friendly, helpful staff - yes, they are a little different to Brits culturally but I didn’t experience any rudeness or negativity.
The pools are fab and the grounds are beautiful and well kept.
We had a 2 bed apartment in block 13 and it was great, clean and spacious. My only gripe would be that cleaners only came in once during our 7 night stay, I’m guessing it’s due to the size of the place and the number of apartment blocks they probably don’t have enough cleaners. I wasn’t going to moan about this, it was perfectly fine for a week.
We took a water taxi to Nessebar one afternoon and also walked to Sveti Vlas one afternoon/evening. Ate in some fab restaurants and all along the front is lovely for atmosphere, bars and shopping.
We would definitely return 😎

Good for family but not elderly
Pros:

Everything was great about the place from the pools to the rooms and WiFi was great too which was great for the kids laptops, only thing that stops it getting a 5 star was the Italian bar, female staff member was grumpy and never really paid attention to us, only time she had a smile on her face was when we left

If you like to waste money this place is for you!
Pros:

Disgusting attitude at the reception, they speak arrogantly as if you are to blame for their mistakes. During our three days of stay they called us three times to move our car - first we were parked in someone else's parking spot, because ours was taken and they told us to park in a free one, then we were in the wrong parking lot, and the chip clearly said parking "lot D, space 15", and the receptionist rudely told us, "Well, you're in parking lot C" and took a marker to correct the letter on the chip. Then we went to this parking lot and our spot was taken again and we parked in the next one. When we were leaving the next day, we found a note asking us to park in our spot. On top of that, the parking cost 20 leva per day, which for a room that cost several thousand leva, not being able to secure a free parking spot is already a shame.
The breakfast wasn't bad, some things were even tasty, but you will be lucky if you find clean kitchen utensils to eat them with, because these people clearly haven't heard of washing dishes. And if someone accidentally gets sick and has to stay in the hotel room, you should know that it is explicitly not allowed to take food from breakfast in the rooms. Even though we explained the situation to them, they didn't let us leave, which I would have been fine on its own, but they didn't allow us yo return to our tables and made us throw our food in the trash bin. They acted exceptionally rude, and we were severely disappointed with their attitude towards us. And if you need to use Wi-Fi or call someone, don't bother, because it will be a miracle if you could even find a signal in this "fancy" resort.
I don't know how arrogant a person has to be to demand so much money for someone to stay in such a miserable place.
I definitely DO NOT recommend!!!

Wonderful chilled holiday, great place!
Pros:

Get comfy, it’s long!
We visited this hotel as a British family of 4 in mid August 2025. We stayed 11 nights bed and breakfast and travelled with Jet2 holidays. It’s important you know this, as other people may have had a different experience if they booked privately, or through a different operator etc.
We absolutely loved this hotel. We aren’t big drinkers, or bothered about the bar vibe, or bothered about having to venture out to find places to eat so this was perfect for us.
The pools! Just wonderful in every way. And proper wooden sunbeds with mattresses. There was something for everyone, if you fancied a quiet day, or aqua aerobics, or the kids wanted slides and sprinklers - it was all there. We loved it. There was always a sunbed - EVERY TIME. The lifeguards were excellent at monitoring and allowed you to reserve for an hour. After that time they calmly walked round and took the towels and hung them on a clothes rail for you to collect. Very well managed in my opinion! And an hour is fair. It means you can pick your spot, go for breakfast and then head to the pool without worrying. No sunbed wars here.
The location - it’s 5 minutes to local eateries (canteen style, lots of fun!) and more up-market restaurants are 10 minutes (The Bolero was good). 20 minutes to more hustle and bustle with excellent restaurants Djanny and Lapa Lapa. We loved meandering through the back streets and really feeling we were properly in Bulgaria. It’s a good 25 minutes to the sea front, but again, lots to see and experience along the way. Beach is busy but clean with the softest sand and warm sea.
Supermarkets, bakery, BBQ and restaurants are on site. All were great. Italian restaurant also does takeaway pizza and at about £6 for a massive one was perfect to eat by the pool for lunch. Yes, the staff can be a little brusque everywhere you go, but it felt like a cultural thing to me, and yes, it felt rude by our British standards but we got used to it. I made a point of eyeballing and saying thank you with a smile and by the end we got a ‘bye’ and even a ‘thank you’ which felt like a win! It didn’t impact the holiday at all but I could feel other British holidaymakers (the few that were there) getting annoyed, especially at breakfast.
The room - was a huge one-bed apartment with decent large sofa bed in lounge, it was king-size. Aircon in both the bedroom and living room (amazing) and free (also amazing). Full kitchen, not a kitchenette, with dishwasher, full fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine (but nowhere sold the right pods so we couldn’t use which was a shame. Why don’t they sell them in the supermarket??). Washing machine too which I’ve never had on a package holiday and was such a treat. Now to the cleaning! And this is where I have knocked a star off. The rooms do not get cleaned. End of. We had a piece of paper that said we’d get new towels every 4 days and new bedding every 5. We had new towels when the cleaner knocked on the door one teatime but our sheets were NEVER changed in 11 days. I washed them myself in the washing machine. The piece of paper does say you have to empty your own rubbish, which we did, but they don’t leave you spare bin liners so we bought those at the shop. We also bought loo roll. No biggie, it’s like £1.20. I think it really is ‘self catering’ and much like if you rented a private place, you’d clean it yourself. There’s a vacuum cleaner etc. which makes me think this is what they assume you’ll do. So if you’re really particular about being cleaned for, perhaps don’t book here or go knowing you’ll have to do it yourself.
Kids’ stuff - brilliant adventure playground with mini-disco in the outdoor amphitheatre at night. Other regular playgrounds throughout the complex. There was a kids’ club type session every day 4-6pm except Sunday but you had to stay with the kids and it was more for toddlers - age 5. Our kids were too old so weren’t bothered.
Entertainment - is at the Italian restaurant. We had a pianist one night and a violinist another, both great. But there’s not a ‘show’ that everyone sits and watches like I know some hotels offer. So if that’s your vibe, this hotel won’t deliver.
Lastly, the breakfast. It is chaos and got us down towards the end, if I’m honest. We discovered on about day 9 that there were two sittings. This wasn’t explained to us at check-in so we rocked up whenever we liked (as did everyone else) but this meant absolute and utter chaos. No plates, cups, bowls or cutlery on more than one day. People eating cereal off saucers! One day the restaurant manager got angry at a guest and I heard her say ‘two sittings! You came to wrong sitting! Everyone needs to stick to the sittings!’ which I interpreted as, if you came when you’re supposed to, there’d be enough crockery!! So, next day, we went to our sitting and it was fine. Go when they tell you to is my advice. The breakfast itself was delicious, so many different things even pasta and veg?! Each to their own! Delicious fresh pancakes too.
Overall this hotel was super chill, with low-key vibes. No loud families, no swearing and drunkenness. Everyone was on the same page despite all the different nationalities which made it an excellent holiday. We also felt extremely safe, not just at the hotel, but everywhere we went in Bulgaria. Great country! And go to Nesebar!

Lägenhetshotell för barnfamiljer
Pros:

Fab hotel, terrible staff
Pros:

This hotel is really stunning & has so much to offer.

Unfortunately its staff are really doing it an injustice.
The room was not cleaned for 4 - 5 days after we arrived. We had to contact them twice. We also had an issue with a wasps nest on the balcony & my husband was stung. They came and sprayed something but it didnt really help.

The dark haired girl in the shop is the rudest person i've ever met not just to me but to everyone. She is huffing, rolling eyes & should not work with people. I encountered her several times and dreaded to see her working. The restaurant staff were also very rude. We ate out because of this. Everyone else we met outside the hotel was lovely.

I feel this hotel has huge potential but its staff let it down. I won't be returning !!

Nice place, staff very rude & unfriendly
Pros:

The complex is massive and physically lovely and well presented.
The overall experience for me and my daughter is blighted by the staff in the complex, especially the Italian restaurant, who are shockingly unfriendly, unhelpful to the point of being almost rude. We are still here but I felt the need to do a review now due to their repeated and consistent bad attitudes.
They also speak virtually no English, any of them. Now I am not say locals should speak English, but those who work in tourist facilities should surely speak enough to take a food order and a drink.
There is also no evening entertainment for adults at all and hardly any bars in the complex. So no choice but to leave complex and go to local nightlife (20 minute walk away) if you want anything lively to do in an evening.
House services also poor, say they will come to fix things but don’t and reception staff just say, ‘it’s not our fault’.

Pros:

We had not good experience with housekeeping. During 10 days cleaned just 2 times our rooms. Dirty towels, full bins, no toilet paper, sand on the floor. 4 days no servis. Fab little village
Pros:

Just got back from 7 nights here, no problems at all. Two of us were in a studio which was a little small for them but fine.. I was in a one bed apartment with my son and grandson. Again it was perfect for the week. Grounds are lovely, all pools fab no issues. Brekkie was fine each day something for everyone .Friendly staff throughout apart from the females in on site shop were very rude. 8 pm for an hour my grandson enjoyed an hour at the eco park dancing along to kids songs but after that there wasn't anything for him so we had a walk to a nearby bar which had a little park. Food in the Italian restaurant on site was delicious and staff were lovely. If you visit here you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful hotel, would definitely come back!
Pros:

One of the best hotels me and my family have ever stayed in. Rooms are spacious and very clean, cleaners came in every day to give us fresh towels.
We stayed in block 16 and it was such a good location for the on site supermarket and coffee shop.
Pool areas were lovely and clean, and there is absolutely no rush for sun beds as we got multiple sun beds for our family at any time of day the whole 7 days we were here.
Italian restaurant on site was great service and great food, only negative comment is that there was no kids menu.
The only negative thing I can think of to say about this hotel is that it’s a little far back and a good 15/20 minute walk down to the beach front (we didnt mind the walk as we got our steps in every day)
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return and recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone.

Would I stay here again… No
Pros:

Would I stay here again! No, because
Hotel itself is lovely well maintained and clean! The beds and pillows are not comfy but the rooms are clean and they change the towels daily!
For me there were a fews issues!
The staff don’t speak English well which yes is our problem but you cannot communicate with them and the staff in the shop especially are rude!
We stayed end of May and it was dead no one round the pools no music no interaction at all it was like being in a deserted hotel this may be different later in the year!
This is my second time to Bulgaria and it’s put me of won’t be going again

Very nice complex. A lot of beautiful swiming pools. Nice landscaping. Not far away from Black Sea. Only our one bedroom apartment had 1 mirror in the bathroom. Light in the bathroom was very bad, not bright enough. Overall was good. Will recommend it to friends and family.

Had a lot of fun with our family here🤩
Pros:

Very family oriented resort with a lot of fun creativities for the children and not only for them.
You can leave the kids for the day and just spend your day around the waterfall bar with the company of some good cocktails and friends.
It’s like a small town with all the shops you need… also a bakery and a restaurant with a show nights and performances which are tailored for all family members.
The nature is amazing and very well taken care of. We didn’t even need to leave the resort but even if we did decide the place is strategically located near to all the other activities in Sunny beach.

Great stay, would return and recommend
Pros:

We stayed in block 21, C14, arrived at 11pm and it was hard to find in the dark.
Next day we awoke to a lovely pool view. The room was a deluxe studio, it’s was fine for us. Not a spec of dust anywhere! Ample storage space, safe and washing machine, quite a large balcony. Towels changed once in 7 days, sheets not at all, this was our choice though. Would have liked towels to have been changed more than once. Toilet rolls left on arrival and showers gel and soap. Toilet rolls replenished when towels changed. We helped ourselves to more off cleaners trolley and asked a cleaner on one occasion for some. Bin emptying was an issue, not really clear where to do this, cleaner did empty when she changed towels but bins are so small they need doing alternative days ideally. The whole complex was spotless, no litter. We didn’t use any amenities other than the pool by our room, we did not attend any entertainment offered. Shop on site and bakery by reception was great and not really any more expensive than shops in town. We got the bus to Nessebar and Sveti Vlas for 2 LV each one way. The front is heavily populated with fairground rides and attractions and lots of shops, could get crowded at times.
We would stay at this complex and resort again.
