I've booked a "Single Room - Non Smoking", and stayed in room 407. The bed size is great, however, it unfortunately wasn't comfortable due to the mattress being uneven and unbalanced. It may be time for the hotel to consider replacing the mattress to improve guest comfort.
There's no smoking area for guests.
The room was also uncomfortably hot, as there was no air-conditioning available in winter. Only heater, even though I've turned it off, still made it difficult to sleep even with the window open throughout the night.
Checkout time is 10am, and I had mistakenly read incorrect information and thought it was 11am. While I was in the bathroom taking a shower at around 10:10am, someone knocked on the door and informed me that I had already passed the checkout time and would be charged if I left after 10:30am.
I immediately apologised for the misunderstanding and explained that I thought checkout was at 11am. However, the conversation continued while I was still in the shower. I politely asked her to give me a minute to dry off and come out to speak properly, but she continued talking through the door, which felt uncomfortable and lacking in privacy.
By the time I've dried myself and went to the door, she was nowhere to be seen. This left the interaction feeling abrupt and confusing, as I wasn't sure whether I was allowed to checkout at 11am or still needed to checkout by 10:30am to avoid being charged. I then hurriedly packed all my belongings and went down to the hotel lobby to organise everything as well as trying my best to respect the hotel's rules/space. Unfortunately, there was very little space in the lobby to do this, which made the checkout experience even more stressful.
Good prices. Convenient. Friendly staff. Luggage concierge.
