Hôtel et SPA Version Maquis Citadelle

Séjour parfait, le personnel de l’hôtel est très aidant et présent. La navette pour se rendre au port de Bonnifacio est très pratique et rapide.

Excellent all around. Fantastic service. Rooms were spacious. Impeccably clean. Great spa. Well rounded breakfast. Loved the complimentary transfer service that took you into the marina which was less than 10 min away. So convenient for dinners and a boat tour we did. Chiara at the front desk was beyond helpful. Loved everything about it.

The hotel is nice and very well located. Food also really good in their restaurant. The service could use some training, especially the concierge and the assistance provided during the stay.

Great stay, super friendly service ( reception, restaurant, pool staff,….), very well kept premises, super nice pool ( and view), great short vacation all around!

Truly nice hotel on the heights of Bonifacio. From the restaurant, the swimming pool and possibly from your room, you enjoy the nature with the Citadelle in the background.

Luxury amenities/creams and shampoos in the room.

You get a car service which brings you to the port of Bonifacio. Nice service ! It is not far at all but the road is a bit too dangerous to walk.

We took breakfast only one day : expensive but simply delicious and same beautiful view on the terasse.

The only disappointment was the restaurant which we tried on the first evening. Too expensive for what it is and no extra ordinary flavours.

There are plenty of restaurants in Bonifacio (hence the use of the car service!). Our favorite has been Da Passano on the port.

Last but not least really professional and friendly staff (all from reception, restaurant to the spa).

Dont miss this beautiful hotel in Bonifacio!

The accommodation, service and amenities of the hotel provided the perfect sanctuary for some rest and relaxation. The immediate surroundings were peaceful and quiet and all the staff were lovely and friendly! The free shuttle to Bonifacio was a nice touch and very much appreciated. Bonafacio itself was a lovely place to wander and take in all the viewpoints and historical sites and I’m sure there would have been much more to see and explore had we had more time. Thank you for this experience

Fabulous views of the mountains, coast and most prominently, the Citadel. A Hotel courtesy shuttle (Porsche SUV) will take you down to Bonifacio where you can walk the seaside for delicious seafood restaurants, pizza, or just a gelato. The spa at the hotel is wonderfully appointed. We swam in the indoor and outdoor pools, used the steam room and sauna, had massages and relaxed in the glass enclosed lounge on chaises. Our garden room was spacious with a charming outdoor terrace. Very private raised wooden walkways lead through wooded areas to the rooms, spa and restaurant. The restaurant has a limited but delicious menu. I have a food allergy and the chef accommodated that graciously. The staff is young, energetic and kind. The vibe of this place is relaxed, healthy, first class but casual, design-forward and geared toward privacy. Mostly couples were there when we were although I did see one family. This is a perfect spot off the beaten path to chill. We were the only Americans there. Highly recommend for a two or three day stay. We hiked up to the Citadel and around the port for our 12,000 steps and stopped at the Carivan d’Ali Bon Bon for candy after.

Extraordinary small property with privacy and memory-making views. From airport pick-up and reception to spa services and dining, this property is first class. Our room was lovely and the raised walkways through nature to the various buildings enhance the experience. The view of the Citadel beyond the infinity pool is breathtaking and it is the perfect spot to have a cocktail and relax. If there is an evening chill, the staff offers cosy blankets. We were two couples traveling at the end of season and were all pleased with rooms, views, staff and facilities. We partook of the sauna, steam room, heated pool with individual areas with whirlpool jets and massage services. All relaxing and again, outstanding views! This property is perfect for a romantic escape, a 2-3 day stop in the Med while visiting the Côte d’Azure, or a short visit to Bonifacio and the islands. The port city is about 8 minutes from the hotel and offers numerous casual restaurants with fresh seafood, pizza, pastas and sophisticated cocktails and mocktails with a water view. Highly recommend this seasonal (May to October) unique property.

We fell in love with this place….rooms were beautiful with everything you need. An amazing spa with steam, sauna, crushed ice bath and an indoor pool. Staff couldn’t do enough and were so welcoming in every aspect. Loved the complimentary shuttle in to Bonifacio and will definitely return. 10/10

Stayed for 4 nights as part of a 3 week europe trip. I booked a deluxe room and there was an issue when we arrived where they tried to put us in what looked like a superior room (although insisted it was a deluxe), I could see the car park from the terrace. Julie in reception was amazing and upgraded us to a citadelle view deluxe which looked just like the pictures of the room I booked but better. She was the best and deserves a promotion, she helped us throughout our stay with a flight issue we had too. Beautiful room, very quiet, amazing pool, breakfast was excellent, spa and massage with Alice was superb. No shade on the patio which would be something they could look at improving.

One minor observation, the reception staff work so hard and do everything, shuttle, check guests in and out, show you round the property that they really need more staff doing this and another shuttle too. We took advantage of the shuttle each night down to bonifacio, last pick up was 11pm. We only had one issue with this when another guest jumped in the car we booked so we had to wait longer, they should take a note of room numbers/guest names when you call to pick up to fix this and get another shuttle for peak times. We were on holiday so it was only a minor pain. This could be improved easily.

The property is beautiful and has a great spa. The front of house staff were ok, seemed young and inexperienced and didn’t really deliver a 5 star service you would expect from a hotel like this.
