Excellent thanks to the staff and location
Pros:

Very central location and absolutely spotless. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond for everyone they dealt with.

It was ok and good value
Pros:

Nice room. Liked bar restaurant area. Friendly local people using bar.

Cons:

Dirty underwear in drawer left by previous customer. Male reception manager not pleasant. Didn’t even lift his head to say good morning. First night service extremely slow. Only one member of staff serving.

Had a great weekend staying in The Alyth Hotel and exploring the local area.
Pros:

Staff really attentive and friendly, room lovely, comfortable and clean with a great view to the front of the building across a little stream, Great selection of beautiful food on the menu and large portions.

Nice hotel with old world charm
Pros:

Extremely comfortable bed - extraordinary mattress!!
The room was decorated to a high, contemporary standard.

Cons:

Not so much "didn't like" but the unit beneath the tv, on which the tea/coffee tray was situated was quite tired looking, & marked in several places by stains on the wood. Considering the condition of everything else in Rm10, it was a shame this stood out as a bit old.
The shower cubicle is a very tight space! Fortunately I'm 5ft & not too wide 😁 but an above guest might find it a struggle to use. Also, the liquid soap dispenser didn't work, so I had to use shampoo to wash with instead.

Lovely Hotel find with a big heart in this little town.
Pros:

Lovely hotel with smart decor. Staff lovely along with proprietor.
Food was absolutely amazing in both my evening meal and breakfast.
