Well impressed with modern and stylish decoration and facilities. Very clean, great large bed, good TV, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee in room. Great restaurant/bar downstairs with good wholesome food on offer
All good
Good location, staff were lovely, especially the lady doing breakfast. Room was comfortable. Need to know this is a pub, so expect loud music until late at the weekends.
No hot water, so ended up having cold showers. Difficult to find staff during the day, other than in the bar.
Absolutely freezing no hot water heaters tepid , no reception book in through the bar then try to navigate upstairs with people sitting on the stairs and kids running up and down them
Clean and comfortable
Stayed for 2 nights, in room 2, mattress was horrible felt springs coming through, not comfortable at all. Room was okay, TV, tea/coffee okay size however the noise from the pub was ridiculous they didn’t stop till 11pm and was like sleeping in the bar. It’s more a pub than accommodation with only 6 rooms so it’s like an after thought.
It was very clean, all staff very good
The bed was very uncomfortable, mattress very springy , with twanging noise ever time you moved. No bath mat in the bathroom, and wash basin very slow to drain. Breakfast was very disappointing and very pricey for what you got .
Room was clean and cosy. Bathroom facilities were nice and the downstairs pub was great and the staff were all reallt nice
There was a smell in our room perhaps from.the toilet. There was a wedding or something on and it was very loud until midnight. It did quiet doen after that.
Good location
They were unable to supply us with second key and we had to ask for towels
Had a lovely afternoon here with friends. Tried a variety of food off the menu and everything was lovely, decent sized portions and a really good price!! Nice atmosphere, really friendly staff and gorgeous food...can't ask for more! Will definitely be back!
There was no room heating during are stay.
breakfast well i was houng over a bit
Location was good
No breakfast available, no toiletries in bathroom that was mouldy round the shower. No working wifi in room, very noisy fans/air conditioning from downstairs. Bed was ridiculously too soft.
Nice
I couldn't get an extra day
Really nice and clean rooms with plenty space
Manageress solved the problem of our room being a little cold
Would prefer a breakfast in house
Busstation in front of the house, close to the beach
Heating turned off during the night, twice no hot water in the morning, everyday loud noise from the bar, forgot to turn off the music one night
Nothing really
I advise people not to stay, the Ship on next door a lot better
The overall appearance is very scruffy, it was very cold as the heating was not turned on and in March you need it as very cold in Edinburgh. No breakfast offered and was told that they don’t serve it anymore, the bar area looked like a home for the unemployed.
