Busstation in front of the house, close to the beach
Heating turned off during the night, twice no hot water in the morning, everyday loud noise from the bar, forgot to turn off the music one night

I advise people not to stay, the Ship on next door a lot better
The overall appearance is very scruffy, it was very cold as the heating was not turned on and in March you need it as very cold in Edinburgh. No breakfast offered and was told that they don’t serve it anymore, the bar area looked like a home for the unemployed.
Warm comfortable room. Lovely bathroom. Great central location.
Essentially a pub/event space which also has rooms. Got keys from the bar. Offhand rather than welcoming. Left to own devices largely. Could do with more staff. A pity because rooms were very nice.

The rooms are very small and cold. I had to go and ask about the heating at 6.30 on a January night to be told it was on a timer and that they would put it on boost…surely the timer needs to be set earlier. The bed was very uncomfortable, old sunk mattresses. And although the bathroom seemed recently fitted there was an unacceptable amount of black mould in the shower.
The room was small, but clean and tidy. The en suite bathroom was well appointed although the toilet needed to be flushed a couple of times. The shower worked well.
The service in the restaurant was slow, we had to wait a long time for our meal even though the restaurant was not busy. The food was very good though.

I stayed here during a night with temperatures at minus seven degrees. There was no heating in my room. The room stayed cold the entire night and I could not sleep. No one was at the reception and no one answered the phone. This made the stay uncomfortable and unsafe. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
Easy to find on Main Street, easy late check in , lovely staff. Even offered to carry my case to the room. Would definitely return.

Heating was off in the morning so bedroom was freezing. There was nobody downstairs at all at 8.30- no breakfast was on offer ( which had been offered) We were left puzzled and disappointed. We stayed until 930 but nobody turned up and the bedroom was still cold. This is not acceptable . I don't like writing negative reviews but in this case it was deserved. I have finally responded to booking.com's constant requests for a review.
The size of the room was very spacious and the bathroom had a roomy shower and was very modern.
Lovely service by the waitress in the restaurant at dinner.
There was only one bedside light on our bed.
No toiletries were provided in the shower.
No breakfast was available, although the “ good Breakfast “ was mentioned in the booking response.
Looked good and pretty clean, location is good.
Looks great but the mattress wasn't. Pretty sure there was a spring ready to pop through. Really hot in the evening, no heating in the morning. Noisy plumbing from other rooms.
