Central location for the event we were attending.
The rooms are very small and cold. I had to go and ask about the heating at 6.30 on a January night to be told it was on a timer and that they would put it on boost…surely the timer needs to be set earlier. The bed was very uncomfortable, old sunk mattresses. And although the bathroom seemed recently fitted there was an unacceptable amount of black mould in the shower.
The room was small, but clean and tidy. The en suite bathroom was well appointed although the toilet needed to be flushed a couple of times. The shower worked well.
The service in the restaurant was slow, we had to wait a long time for our meal even though the restaurant was not busy. The food was very good though.

I stayed here during a night with temperatures at minus seven degrees. There was no heating in my room. The room stayed cold the entire night and I could not sleep. No one was at the reception and no one answered the phone. This made the stay uncomfortable and unsafe. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
Easy to find on Main Street, easy late check in , lovely staff. Even offered to carry my case to the room. Would definitely return.

Heating was off in the morning so bedroom was freezing. There was nobody downstairs at all at 8.30- no breakfast was on offer ( which had been offered) We were left puzzled and disappointed. We stayed until 930 but nobody turned up and the bedroom was still cold. This is not acceptable . I don't like writing negative reviews but in this case it was deserved. I have finally responded to booking.com's constant requests for a review.
The size of the room was very spacious and the bathroom had a roomy shower and was very modern.
Lovely service by the waitress in the restaurant at dinner.
There was only one bedside light on our bed.
No toiletries were provided in the shower.
No breakfast was available, although the “ good Breakfast “ was mentioned in the booking response.
Looked good and pretty clean, location is good.
Looks great but the mattress wasn't. Pretty sure there was a spring ready to pop through. Really hot in the evening, no heating in the morning. Noisy plumbing from other rooms.

The room was freezing kept asking them to put the heating on said would and never me and my partner were sitting freezing with our jackets on most of the night and they set fireworks right outside our window with telling us
Had a meal here last night and although the food was lovely the service was terrible.
We waited several minutes to be seated to our reserved table, no one came so we sat ourselves down, there seemed to be one member of staff serving the entire restaurant which was quite busy.
Finally our order was taken by this rushed member of staff, meal and drinks delivered and server disappeared.
Within 20 minutes we saw the lady behind the public bar rush back and forth from the bar to get food to serve in the bar, no sight of server in restaurant, suddenly there were 3 younger members of staff coming in and out of the kitchen with food, then they disappeared.
Finally we had to ask the lady at the bar to get someone to give us our bill, then again to ask someone to bring a card reader, all 3 members of staff seemed to have vanished.
Although food was lovely, the lack of service in restaurant when clearly well staffed is an issue and I would think twice about returning which is a shame.
