D'Nice Heritage House

The location is good if you are interested in the historical core of Georgetown. There’s lots to see and many places to eat within walking distance. The owner is very kind and helpful. She helped us find our way around town and recommended good food places!

Good location, 10-15 mins walk to most things you want to see in George Town.

Hassle free check in (we arrived late so the staff left the key in a safe place for us) and hassle free check out. Actually we never met any of the staff. Room was clean, the bathroom very new. Bed was comfy.

But we were on the 1st floor which meant we had to endure the people stomping away on the second floor, and people walking and talking on the streets.

Among the better hotels of its kind for the price, and there was always street parking in front of the hotel.

Lovely charming place with everything you need for a good night in Penang.

The room we stayed is a suite. The room is big and cozy. The area of this hotel also very heritage feel. I love it so much. We will stay here again.

Centrally placed, the hotel was very much in line with the description. Very clean, nice and spacey room/private bathroom. The manager was awesome providing any help we needed.

A simple but very effective hotel. Clean, very comfortable and a friendly owner.

ヘリテージと言うことで、作りは古いが趣がある。部屋数9部屋との事で家族的に付き合える。ロビーでゆったりコーヒー飲める。コムターに歩いて7分位です。

We had a fantastic stay here, the owner literally couldn’t have done more for us. The hotel was small and very homely, and in a quiet but convenient location. Would definitely return.

Clean and very friendly English speaking staff

The stay at d'nice was anything but nice. The included breakfast didn't exist due to earlier complaints from guests and had to be bought in and consisted of toast and peanutbutter. The limited cleaning clearly meant no cleaning at all during the entire stay. The hot water in the shower didn't seem to be working and made it very uncomfortable to shower. The room itself had serious damp issues in the walls that made patches of paint fall of and made it feel very poorly maintained. The reception had very limited number of operating hours and wasn't even staffed during those hours; some of the communication had to be dealt by leaving notes at the counter. The staff with the exception of one made us feel very unwelcomed and non caring about their guests. The area surrounding the hotel felt very sketchy after dark walking home, but was quite close by the touristic places in Georgetown. The d'nice hotel didn't live up to the expectations, the pictures and information set up and was very overpriced! Wouldn't recommend and would never come back!!

i brought two kid along with my in-laws for a short overnight stay. The inn is nicely decorated, room was clean and located in a historical area. However this not suitable with family with kid or heavy footer as the wooden floor will reflect your movement accurately, in another words noise to others.

There are no toothbrush, tissue in room. Only a 2 in 1 hair & body soap dispenser. Hotel staff said is provided only upon request. No room cleaning service or towel change though we stayed for 2 nights. There is no counter staff after 7pm with surrounding environment doesn't look safe.

Excellent location close to all amenities, friendly and helpful staff has made our stay at D Nice a very pleasant and enjoyable experience

Room was a tad too small for my liking. I was not sure why I had the impression that the room was supposedly bigger...
Anyway, no toiletries given (only toilet roll and bath towels)
I'm used to traveling light so I did not bring along my toiletries...
Breakfast was not impressive. Did not bother to take breakfast at this establishment.
Room was adequately furnished and cosy. Did not like that there were no curtains to block out sunlight in the morning.
I guess I got what I paid for,
There was a mildly unpleasant smell having walked past a corner where they have this pet rabbit in a cage at the common area.
Service desk at fixed hours- 8am to 7pm.
Location was great though! However, no convenient store within the vicinity.
May not consider this hotel again

A nice boutique hotel close to a lot of the recommended places of interest. The family room we had is spacious and could really accommodate a family of three. Eating out is easy, and if you want to take shelter (due to the hot weather) in an air conditioned shopping mall, Prangin Mall is just a stone throw away. The only down side is there is no room service, and there is also no known self operative laundry service nearby.

The room was too small and bewarn, you are made to carry your shoes in a bag upstairs.
No cleaning at all throughout the period of stay.
Minimal reception hours.
Next to the road and could be noisy.
