Confusing area, there was several towers, signage not clearly signed to show the lobby. Check in process was smooth. But the parking and room tower was different, have to go up, cross the bridge and then take another lift to theroom. The room was not cleaned properly, lots of hair on the carpet. This is not ideal when u carry a baby with u, to leave, u need to repeat the step again, before that have to go to lobby to validate your tng or parking ticket. And they only allow 20 min for u to do this. So i wont repeat considering all this hassle
Hotel photos are not accurate, must be from when it was new. Whole place is dirty. Beds were hard as rocks and my sheets had stains on them. No shampoo, conditioner or shower gel. You have to pay to use anything in the room (soap, toothpaste etc).
Shuttle bus usually booked out. Would not recommend nor stay again.
The hotel is not good at all, everything about the hotel is horrible. The room we got was extremely dirty. We changed the room then the sink was leaking in the new room. The bathrooms all smell bad. The rooms are all dirty, the furniture is worn out. Even after housekeeping makes up the room, it is still so dirty. The rooms wont be made up till you tell them over the phone, we turned on the make my room switch but apparently they didn’t clean it till we called them on the phone.
They do not provide anything in rooms , it is a hotel i would never recommend to anyone.
The place is so nice. Very cold and very homie. but its just that we didnt expect that they will put us in like a connecting room? luckily nobody checked in there during our stay. but overall its okay and nice place :)
shuttle service is sooo convenient every hour they have a service going to sky avenue and in a no hassle booking also.
the room is so spacious too. got dining and all stuffs. its like an airbnb already but were expecting a microwave hehehe but they dont have but its okay. no issues about it.
the towers is just confusing at times. hahaha we always forget where to go and which way to go. :)
all the staffs are accomodating and helpful. except for the man we asked outside upon our arrival (our arrival on the lobby near big panas express) i cannot remember which tower is that.(the place usually where the pick up point of the shuttle) we are asking him where is the lobby or reception of the grand ion delemen and instead of helping us, he just asked me to find the contact number of the hotel and with a high pitch voice asked me to call the hotel! haaays. hopefully next time should not be like that
anyways. overall super okay!
Property is run down and
Nice view but need to buck up on overall cleanliness and service.
Average Stay – Room for Improvement
We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit with breakfast included, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations. The room had cleanliness issues — the couches were dirty and partly unhinged, with visible stains and dust in corners. One major drawback was that the unit only had one bathroom, which was inconvenient for a group stay.
Another disappointment was the swimming pool being under maintenance for two days, which was then extended for another two days without any prior notice or communication from the hotel staff.
Breakfast was also below par — the food was cold and lacked variety. Overall, the hotel has potential, but cleanliness, maintenance, and service communication need serious improvement.
Need more cleaning
I would honestly say that was the WORST hotel of my life .the pillows, blankets and beds were all dirty and the buffet was not so great when I ordered fish and chips the fish was uncooked. the balcony door was difficult to open and there were dead bugs EVERYWHERE. if you want a NICE breakfast please I would recommend to go to whydham level 12 the breakfast was wayyy better there
The hotel needs overall, my friends room head board was dirty and really needed clean , but hotel was brilliant
The smell from the toilet was horrible. You need to fix this asap before you rent it to others .
Heater not working, WiFi not working, soaps not available , total waste of money
The checking in was confusing. The room was just average and the bed caused my body to itch. The pillow was so flat and was unable to sleep the whole night due to next room noise so loud. Totally very disappointed.
There was lousy food at the bar nearby.
We went in mid-February (post CNY) so expected the place to be less crowded. In fact, unless we were in the dining area, the place felt abandoned. There was squeaky noise from the kitchen (thin walls) - assuming due to wind hitting some loose windows.
The hot water pot doesn't work either.
The room appears not to be cleaned -we found a used towel in the closet. The beddings have this unused smell. There is a cleaning smell in the entire unit.
While the place was large (3 bedrooms - each with its own queen size bed), with large empty kitchen cabinets. One of the bedrooms have a walk-in bathroom suite.
We discovered there was a recent landslide. The roads to the hotel from Genting Highland was narrowed and dangerous.
I would never come back to this hotel. The only reason I gave it a 1 star is because it is fairly sizable unit.
The property need remodel and room is running down and smell badly.
Got Money Changer there in Wyndham lobby. A big plus for tourists and businesses.
Too cold and misty. Lovely ambiance. Unforgettable experience. Will come back. Have nice North Indian restaurant too. Have Hard Rock Cafe. Real fun and unforgettable moments. Miss this place.
Staff don't speak english or very little. They can't even tell where things are in the hotel e.g. cafes n restaurants. The hotel looks old and rooms are not clean. The towels looked old. To top this off there was a landslide in Genting Highlands due to heavy overnight rain which caused closure of the one road going in/out of the hotel. The number they have on website rings out, as l wanted to get an update on how to get my belongings. Genting Highlands is a beautiful place but probably check the weather before you go as in our case we probably stayed two nights which wasn't required.
I don't know even where to begin, lets start with, don't stay there, the images are incredibly misleading, this maybe was once upon a time a nice hotel but its delapitated to oblivion, anyone that gives this a score of above 3 is being nice to the people that work there, you mostly feel bad for them.
Why? because are only working there, it is not their fault that the management doesn't give one ioda about this hotel, there is mold in all rooms, there was mama noodles dry old on the kettle, the stench in the room was unavoidable, we had 2 rooms on 2 separate floors and they BOTH had the same issue, stench, some weird storage room that smells like a basement and since this looks like a timeshare type of venue it's like coming to someones home where they basically changed the sheets only.
We didn't end up staying there, like so many others we went straight down stairs to try to salvage our new years by either
a) Getting a full refund
b) Getting us moved
We didn't know b) was an option, we wanted a) to go over to Majestic by Wyndham which is part of their chain as well, they ended up moving us over but like many others this was a 3 hour task.
The staff at reception was inundated with people having difficulty either checking in, or unhappy with their rooms and want to leave, people with kids and babies like we had, the stress on the staff was what made us feel a bit bad about all of this but we weren't going to stay in this hell for new years just because of that.
Finally the manager managed to get us over to Wyndham but that was also not an easy check in, this was all up in the air and there was no booking visible at Wyndham and they had to sort that out over there. No communication between the properties about the move.
The checking for one of our family members was done in the BACK of a JEEP! for one of the towers.
This is however not a review of the actual Wyndham Majestic so I wont go into that however this hotel wont be saved, the fact that both rooms were moldy, no airflow, no upkeep. It's run down, plain and simple.
Initially we booked Grand Ion Delemen, and the hotel upgrade us to Grand Ion Majestic without early notification, after we reached Grand Ion Delemen with our luggage staff told us the system isnt have our booking record, and "maybe" been upgraded to GIM, and ask us go to GIM to check in, so we have to move our luggage and go to GIM to try our luck.
the construction is not completed at GIM, we can hear the construction sounds the whole day, drilling sounds is pertaining even until late night.
The sound prove system is poor, we can hear clearly the noise from the next door and from the corridor, especially when kids screaming and running around.
when we check out at front counter, we are on the queue, but some are actually cutting the queue, however, the front counter staff didn't advice them to queue up, instead they entertain those who cut the queue, and let those in queue wait longer.
Place is very clean and nice to stay
