The staff (especially Isabella), the location (quiet) the amenities, the room - everything was amazing!
El jardín con las damas de noche en flor y la piscina, las zonas exteriores, todo eso es muy agradable. Se aprecia la seguridad.
El personal es demasiado servicial y el lugar pretende ser de lujo, lo que incomoda, especialmente en medio de una ciudad tan pobre y socialmente problemática. En el restaurante los precios son muy altos y la calidad de la comida y de los cócteles etc bastante baja. La habitación no fue muy acogedora (les sugeriría cambiar la luz blanca por una más cálida por ejemplo), aunque sí tenía todo lo necesario.
The location is excellent and a good starting point for a tour into the Amazon. Our children and we as parents particularly enjoyed the pool area. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast is plentiful and has something for everyone.
There was nothing we did not like.
We have stayed several times in Lago Agrio and this is the first time we actually enjoyed our hotel experience. Quiet, safe and with beautiful grounds. Lots of birds! Highly recommended.
This without a doubt is the most expensive option in Lago Agrio , the cost /benefit of staying here makes this place is NOT WORTH IT , you can easily feel that what ance an active bustling hotel has become a encampment for oil company Service workers !
The room was very clean , comfy bed , poor AC , only 1 bottle of water in the room and mine available at recepción ! No brown sugar for the morning coffee ! Breakfast not aceptable for the 125 usd room rate

From the outside, this place is very unassuming. The area around it has mostly older buildings. But once you pull into the gates, it's clear why this is a highly rated hotel. Complete with welcome drinks, a luxurious pool, and a very attentive staff, this hotel was the perfect oasis before a rugged stay in the Amazon.
There are quite a few dining options in Lago Agrio, but you could also relax and enjoy the on-site restaurant. The room was probably the nicest we had during our 3-week vacation. I would recommend it in a heartbeat.
Worn out
We stayed in Gran Hotel de Lago - Lago Agrio one night before traveling to Cuyabeno. We were pleased with the staff, rooms and amazing gardens. The pool is super large and the food delicious.
They are following all COVID protocols, but one member of the staff told me everyone is already vaccinated which made us feel even more comfortable.
Will definitely come back!
Beautiful hotel, surrounded by nature, brand new!
It is surrounded by nature and wildlife. You can hear and watch numerous species of birds. Everything is brand new. The price is very affordable, but somehow expensive for locals. We paid $60 USD for the night with breakfast included.
Definitively will come back the next time I travel to Lago Agrio!
Big swimming pool 40 meters.restaurant very expensive. $25.00 buffet had little to eat.
