There was nothing about the property that I liked besides the friendly staff.
I was mislead by the name Ecotel into thinking the hotel would be particularly or noticeably ‘green’ and eco-conscious. It was not. It was an unappealing building with filthy carpets, dirty windows, cracked paint, mold in the bathrooms, broken drains in the showers, poor selection at dinner and worse at breakfast. I paid for two nights and left after only one. As a traveling photojournalist I have stayed in more than 3000 hotels in 160 countries. This hotel was not a bad place but because of its current poor conditions I would not recommend it. There are many other better hotels with good rates in the immediate vicinity, and all around Yogyakarta. Choose another hotel.
I spent one night for leisure and everything was great. Room was clean, well arranged, amenities were facilitated. Not to mention the staffs, they were really friendly and helpful when needed. Overall its a really wonderful experience✨️

Decent facilities for budget hotel. Drinking water is provided with dispenser which I think a good way to be ecotel. Cleanliness is ok despite some parts have a bit stain
Very limited parking, note recommended if you bring a car, but if you dont, should be ok.
Damp and not fresh; cleanliness needs improvements; moldy walls everywhere, especially in the toilet. The linen is dirty and smelly.
Our room is located next to the panel room on the ground floor; the corridor is too noisy, so we definitely cannot have a good rest.
The worst is that it doesn't have decent parking; we must wait sometimes. It is located on a narrow street. The TV is broken; we need to call engineering to change the unit.
The air conditioner gets off every 30 minutes.
