Elite Hotel City Center Saray Bed and Breakfast

First of all, the room does not match the description or the photos at all. There is no desk, and the size of the room would not allow one to be placed there anyway. The room is about 7 square meters, and the bathroom is about 4 square meters. That makes 11 in total, not 17 as stated in the description.

I needed to work, so I went to reception and asked for a room with a desk, as shown in the photos. No one speaks English, but I explained the issue using Google Translate. After looking at the photos, the man just shrugged and suggested that I sit and work on an unheated veranda. I had an important call and no other choice. However, it turned out that the internet did not work at all. I connected my laptop to my own phone using very expensive roaming internet.

Later, a staff member came and offered to connect me to his phone. That was very kind… but after 5 minutes he forgot about me and walked away with his phone out of range, leaving me without a connection in the middle of an important call. I had to reconnect using my own phone again.

Soon I got cold on the veranda, and my laptop battery died because there is no power outlet there. I went into the lobby and sat on a sofa, trying to continue the call. But the staff were very noisy and smoking (!) around me. It felt like they were doing it on purpose.

There is no minibar in the room and not even drinking water. The wardrobe does not even have a door. The bed linen is clean, but very worn out.

The window overlooks a cemetery and faces a busy street, and the window frame does not close tightly, so the noise from passing cars makes it very hard to sleep.

It felt like I was the only guest in the hotel. At least, I did not see any other guests during my stay.

Breakfast is strictly vegetarian. However, it generally matches the photos.
