The staff were friendly and polite. It was a good breakfast and hot.
The whole hotel could do with a load of upgrades. My room whilst clean was In need of a total refurbishment. All the decor looked old and worn.
Having to pay £10 for the parking wasn’t good considering I was staying there.
Fabulous location right by the sea
A bit dated, very basic breakfast
I was at the hospital and the location is marvellous
The rooms need to be refurbished there so dark and old fashioned
As using the hospital position was excellent for us. Staff friendly and polite.
Bathroom and dining room could in our opinion could be updated
Comfortable bed. Room was clean and spacious. Great value for money. Good location for visiting Sheffield, regular buses to city centre.
TV remote wasn't working, but not really an issue.
Perfectly located for our plans in Sheffield.
Very helpful and friendly staff.
Breakfast was basic but tasty with veggie options.
Our suite was lovely, spacious with a wonderful bath and a good shower.
The hotel just all looks a little bit tired and tatty but if you can look past that it's a nice place to stay.
Location to our needs. Quiet hotel. Friendly staff. Good parking for motorcycles.
Huge thank you to Alison, who immediately corrected an error with a parking ticket issue at the hotel.
This is a lovely small hotel ideal for visiting Uni of Sheffield, Hallamshire Hospital, etc in the heart of Broomhill, the leafy student area. It is made up of several beautiful Victorian mansion houses, linked by more modern structures. It’s comfortable and clean and the staff are very friendly. Perfect for a reunion, 50 years since we met a Freshers week!
A little bit short on facilities - no bar, really; however, 300m away there are excellent pubs, like The Notty House, Broomhill Tavern, etc and an excellent Wetherspoons ‘The Francis Newton’ which was buzzing at 1am!
The staff were great. Breakfast was exceptional. I have stayed there twice before so knew the hotel, where it was and the expected standard.
When we complained, the reception staff were equally as shocked as we were. Immediately moved us to another room and apologised for the inconvenience.
Hayley in the restaurant was so welcoming and friendly, as was the other lady, who's name I can't recall. helped to balance the enjoyment of the stay
We had to change rooms due to the cleaning being very poor. I didn't expect the used knickers by the side of the bed. We were moved to another room straight away. This room also had some let downs. The sofa/bed may be ok as a bed, but is unusable for sitting on. Strangely the room we were moved out of had a great sofa!
The shower would be a challenge for anyone over less than normal height. I'm less than 6ft tall but could barely get under it. The showerhead was also broken.
As a general comment, the hotel decor needs some attention. It's just looking VERY tired, but I do accept it can get very expensive. The coffee facility in reception (which I didn't use) at £3.50 a cup! I'm from Yorkshire, so not a chance.
