Pietermaai Caribbean Vibes

The picture is not where you will be staying, you will be staying in a small apartment with access to other hotels pools, not in an actual hotel. The apartment is actually pretty decent if you're traveling by yourself but it is in a very busy section of town.

Leuke loft in het centrum, dichtbij een gezellige straat. Veel ruimte, keukentje met alles wat je nodig zou hebben. Er staat een open badkamer dus je moet daar verblijven met je partner of een hele goeie vriend(in)/familielid. Airco wordt goed koud, het bed ligt heerlijk. De Pietermaai Boutique team is heel attentief. Enige klein minpunt was dat er weinig tv zenders waren (voor de weinige avonden die we even lekker thuis bleven). Ik zou zeker terug komen.

This hotel looks beautiful but due to the ancient architecture there are no elevators, keep that in mind if you have trouble with stairs. Furthermore, they only have AC in the areas where the bed(s) are, so the sitting areas are HOT.
Furthermore, I had an issue with a leaking AC which flooded the entire room, and tried to work something out with the hotel to get some kind of compensation or a partial refund and they were entirely unsympathetic and unaccommodating. If you read more reviews you will see that they will not compensate you if you have any issues.
The location is great but there are other hotels that are nicer, around the same price point in the same general area. Stay there instead!! If you have issues, you will not get any sympathy or financial compensation from Pietermaai Boutique Hotel. Very disappointing.

Rummet var mycket stort, hels bottenvåningen på ett hus i kvarteret som verkar vara hotellets till stor del. Dock fanns det charmiga element kvar i kvarteret, bl.a. en granne med skällande hundar och en get... - mitt i stan. Området är en blandning av totalt igenbommade eller helt raserade gamla byggnader som delvis är skrämmande men även charmigt. Närheten till havet utan tillgång till möjlighet att bada i det är irriterande. Men allt som allt, hotellet ligger mitt i holländandska ungdomars partyområde med trevliga restauranger i varje gathörn.

Ruim en leuk ingericht appartement in een gezellige omgeving. Gelegen in Punda met z'n vele bezienswaardigheden, gezellige eettentjes, restaurantjes en winkeltjes. Goede airco. Schoonmaak was prima met dagelijks schone handdoeken. Ook lagen er altijd schone strandlakens bij de receptie. Het mini zwembadje was heerlijk en leuk gelegen. Geen lawaai of herrie. Soms hoor je de schorre Lorre van de vriendelijke buurvrouw. Geen gevoel van onveiligheid. Met de lokale busjes ben je zo bij heerlijke stranden. Eind oktober - begin november vrijwel geen regen of muggen. Vanuit Nederland een taxitransfer boeken om je van het vliegveld naar je bestemming te laten brengen is niet nodig. Fijn dat we vanwege onze late vlucht nog even voor vertrek mochten douchen in een andere kamer,
