Nothing. It was a quiet, restful place to stay.

Tutto, l'hotel e' decadente. Pulizia della camera passabile ma soffocante, il doccia in camera era con acqua fredda. Dopo le 20 non è più presente nessuno dello staff.

Like most old places, it needs attentive maintenance. I was disappointed the courtyard lounge was out of bounds and the swimming Poole was closed.

Room 5 was freshly decorated but had no curtains on one of the windows No hanger or hooks only one chair in the room no table broken electric plug socket and a old dirty winter duvet small bed for the size of room bathroom door needed adjustment to close easier

The property didn’t look like anything like it did on booking.com. very dilapidated and run down. It was that bad we left without even staying the first night and booked another hotel for the rest of our stay. Stains on ‘fresh’ towels, frayed edges on towels, dirty walls, stains on bed sheets, stains over the wall, tiles cracked in bathroom, dirty doors handles, stains on carpets. safety hazards in the floor on the way to breakfast due to having a flood but floor was raised a significant amount. Unfortunately I can only load 4 photos but would like to upload more. Room wasn’t properly cleaned after the last guest as you could see their footprints on the bathroom floor. Old mattresses in the hallway and the so called outside area was over grown and awful. The hotel clearly stated on booking.com and within our booking email as having a ‘health spa and swimming pool’ what a joke. Not one mention in any prior correspondence that the swimming pool was closed, the health club and spa facilities had old mattresses in the rooms. The whole place felt like I was taken back to 2005. Front of house wasn’t very clean, greasy hair and stained clothes. Not what I was expecting for £170 for two nights! Even at an independent hotel I would still expect better. It felt more like hostel accommodation.

Room- where lights above bed should have been, wire’s hanging out of wall; pot under leaking radiator; no mirror in bedroom so could not see to dry my hair, mirror in bathroom but light above not working and no natural light; only one double socket in entire room opposite wall to beds; no wardrobe rail or hooks to hang clothes up just three drawers; just sheet on bed, got cold in night, two duvets on floor marked with no covers on them so could not sleep as cold; only two channel working on tv - one was Xmas movie; went down for breakfast at 8am, only tables set up, went to reception no one there, phoned no reply, went back to breakfast room just being set up as they had arrived late, very poor choice.

Nothing to like, it stunk! The furniture was broken, leaking radiator 2 plug sockets in the whole room. Kettle still had old water sat in it, the cold water was warm, the Macerator toilet was so lound and just went off at random times. The bathroom you would want to shower after going in, it was extremely hot! A fan by the bed but no sockets to plug it in! The TV didn’t work. Just awful I left at 3am didn’t want to hang around.

Wasn't quite as it showed in advert. Needs some TLC.
Very basic continental breakfast.
Room wasn't serviced everyday and could of done with some tlc.

But it served a purpose.
Adequate hotel.

Reception unmanned (5pm) No bell to get attention, had to shout hello. He arrived & said he was busy eating & having tea. Walked us out of reception & then pointed to our room. We went in & was greeted with the dustiest, tired & saddest looking room.
TV didn't work, batteries corroded in the remote (the back was missing,) duvet not in the cover, it was shoved in the wardrobe! We didn't use as stained & pressed for time - had a family party to be at. Limescale build up in the kettle with old water still in it.
Bed was creaking on every movement, clumps of dust under the furniture, torn chair cover - chair was too bit for room & not actually needed!
Dead spiders behind cheval mirror in the bathroom, spider eggs in corner of bathroom, dust all behind the sink etc. The shower door vibrated when opened as it was so stiff, black mold on every single crevice of the shower, inside & out.
No mirror above the sink, this was located on the wall in the bedroom!
Window sills had embedded dust in the corners.
Booking site stated cooked breakfast, spa, sauna & swimming pool - NONE OF THESE ARE AVAILABLE!! Owner said that a lot of people had turned up expecting that!
If I hadn't already paid, I would have turned on my heels. It's an unsanitary, dirty & tired. Paint chipped off in multiple places & cobwebs hanging everywhere. It hasn't been vacuumed properly in a long time.
Hotel provides false information so people stay. I paid £81 but it wasn't worth £8!
The building itself is stunning, so it's criminal that it's being left to ruin, not respected & loved. Old broken furniture scattered around.
We didn't stay for the 'continental breakfast as didn't want to eat anything that had been prepared there.
I would not recommend to anyone, ever.

Cold shower

Mooi oud pand met historie maar zal nog heel veel aan gedaan moeten worden. Ontbijt mag je geen engels ontbijt noemen, alleen beetje yoghurt en een opgewarmde croissant. Helaas gemiste kans.

If you want 100% perfection like a bland chain hotel this place isn’t for you. If you want quirky charm then go here!
