This was close to the airport and a good value, but the description of each apartment was inaccurate on Travelocity, which is not something you want to find out about when you arrive after midnight with 2 kids in tow. I hope they fix their Travelocity entry. Namely, we chose a Deluxe 1 Bedroom Apartment, which was described as offering a King sized bed AND two Twin beds, sleeps 6 people. This was not the case for this apartment, so they gave us a 2 bedroom instead, which has this offering. I appreciated the correction.
Appartement spacieux. Chambres sur l arrière de l hôtel calmes et agréables.
Got upgraded, room was huge for party of one. Room was clean and well-maintained
Room food service was great, different cuisines of food to choose from, price was fair.
Cons:
Wi-fi can't be accessed from bedroom, might need an extender for that.
No cooking pots and utensils even room was equipped with electric cooktops.
One thing not happy about: asked for a taxi from reception, got ripped off a 'little' by the driver, not metred and charged 10 rials for a short drive.
The hotel itself if very clean and nice. General manager is super nice and friendly. Our room was ok, just not very clean. The kitchen area was unsanitary and carpets were dirty and had not been vacuumed. The refrigerator had an odor. The wifi was good. If you are just going to sleep and shower, I would recommend this hotel, but for extended stay where you may want to use kitchen, I would choose another hotel. Plus, there was construction going on next door that started at 6 am!
I feel like this hotel could be something better someday; but it definitely wasn't that great while we were staying there.
I booked this hotel through Expedia, but when I got there the desk clerk seemed confused on that concept. He then leafed through a stack of what looked like printed out reservations from an internet source and it took him a bit to find my reservation (I made the reservation about two months in advance). During the initial confusion, I asked if he could just put my name into his computer to find my reservation, but that also did not seem to work as I don't think they have a functioning electronic reservation management system. The gentleman working the desk was very nice, and was doing his best given that the time we were there so many other guests were also checking in.
When we finally did get checked in, we were only given one key. The key was one of those magnetic ones. I asked if we could have two (since there were two of us in the room). I was told that there weren't enough keys to go around so we could only have one. That's clearly a management issue there as more established hotels do not run out of the disposable magnetic keys that guests often keep anyway.
Overall the room was nice, but there were a few oddities. The room I was in had two lamps that were not plugged in and a wall light that too dim to see much in the room. The lamps had a British style plug, but the outlets did not accept them. I had to call the front desk to get them to figure
