Locatie
Location. The things you would reasonably expect in the hotel that weren't were available at modest cost nearby.
The absence of coffee tea making facilities the appalling TV reception and the construction site operating outside the window.
Very poor communication. Basil Fawlty would be proud.
There were times when I was looking forward to going home just to be able to enjoy the World Cup.
Came up short on a LOT of facilities that I had previously become accustomed to at significantly cheaper hotels earlier in my journey north in the US states of Washington and Oregon.
Luckily the things that aren’t available in the hotel are available for reasonable cost at various nearby outlets.
To be fair. On Booking.com it doesn’t promise TV. Nor does it say anything about tea and coffee making facilities...or the absence thereof.
In the US such provision seems to be standard. Is Vancouver that far behind the times?
Newly decorated. Has...got hot and cold running water and the wonders of electricity. That would have been considered awesome...a hundred years ago.
The temperature regulator didn’t work properly. You could open the window...on to the construction zone.
Such a lovely boutique hotel. Recently renovated, that surprised me, and very well done. Very quiet, except for construction, early in the morning. They are working on a building, next door. The drilling was very annoying- about 7:45-3 in the afternoon. After the drilling and demolition is over, the construction will start, so if you plan on sleeping in, it is only possible on the weekend. I will stay again, and hopefully the construction will be finished. In a great section of Robson street, with many wonderful test. And coffee shops, about a 6 block walk to the beach.
Area
No compliment coffee or tea
Clean, newly renovated rooms- extremely friendly staff.
Clean
Location perfect
Absence of tea,/ coffee making facilities
Construction work going on outside window
Awful TV
Not being warned before they took my money
Location
A/C only in the bedroom and just one small window unit.
Location was reat
Bed was a little hard.
The location was good.
The hotel seems to have been still having construction work done so there was a lot of noise, it’s right beside an open excavation for construction works of a new building and the excavator machine noise was loud. The rooms are very small as is the bathroom, the shower space is tiny with a shower curtain that your almost wrapped up in. The TV had no local tv. Channels. The deadlock on the door didn’t work as the correct installation work on the door hadn’t been done so that the deadlock could engage so that felt unsafe.
Location was great. Rooms newly renovated.
The WiFi didn’t work and when it did it was very poor. Did go to reception and they gave us another code but they also didn’t work. As the tv only works through wifi, we couldn’t use the tv either. As we were from overseas we really need to use the wifi.
Also hotel is very noisy as we could hear everyone check in and out from our room even though we were away from reception. I’d hate to have had the rooms that were right next to reception.
Aldo no coffee available in the rooms or anywhere in the hotel.
Good location
Undergoing renovations which was advised when booking room was older style but assume it will be getting done up.
