Pros:

Everything! Especially the little thought through details (architecture & service). We had an amazing 1 night stay, with onsen, breakfast, free coffee, making my own tea with fresh herbs and flowers, nature sounds right outside our window etc.

Pros:

The location is unreal: lost in the middle of the woods, surrounded by peace and quiet.
Room is wide open into the forest.
Rich breakfast buffet and good choice for dinner. (maybe they could find a more flexible formula for stays longer than 2 nights).

Pros:

The restaurant building is beautiful and the food is excellent, both the breakfast and dinner

Cons:

Our room desperately needed a paint and a big clean and update. The onsen was okay, but soulless.
