Hotel Chunchi Imperial

Good

Fairly descent price for 3 person room. No hot water in the morning. Surroundings are super noisy. Woken up at 7:45 to super loud recording of advertisement for local store. Played the same 1 minute message over and over and over again for well over an hour!!

This is really better clasified as a Hostel. The building is old and not in a good condition. No one at the front desk to greet you or even check you in. The noise inside is awfully loud. Staff communication is shouting loudly. There is just to many things to fit in a review. Will never stay there again.

If you are looking for a great place to stop on a road trip between northern and southern Ecuador, look no further. Chunchi is a quiet little town that offers a handful of mom and pop restaurants and a really excellent hotel.

I have often contended the two most important things a hotel can I offer are a comfortable bed and a good shower. The Hotel Chunchi Imperial rates excellent on both counts— as good as many high-end hotels in the US or Europe (we booked the higher end room for about six dollars more). Add to the bed and shower, secure parking for our vehicle, a very friendly staff, and an outstanding breakfast included with the room fee.

Our breakfast came with fresh baked rolls, ham and cheese, fresh fruit, just-squeezed juice, coffee, and perfectly cooked eggs. Instead of stopping in Riobamba, Alausí, or Cuenca... stop here!

We were pleasantly surprsed with our stay. Reception was easy and quick. The room was clean and comfortable. There was adequate parking outside the hotel for our car. We felt safe the whole time. Wifi worked well. There was adequate hot water for the shower. Breakfast was a wonderful surprise. Normally, breakfast begins service at 7am. We had a commitment to meet, so the night manager prepared a delicious complementary breakfast with fruit juices including, pineapple and tree tommmato juice!. We highly recommend this hotel.

I liked very much your desayuno/breakfast. Was the best I had on my trip till than (Guayaquil. Cuenca, Loja). And the stuff was very friendly. Thanks for the days...
