Door latch on door was not properly serviced. Was stuck in the room for several hours until local sheriff helped me get out. No ice machine working. Front desk was unresponsive in answering the phone for several hours. Was given full refund for terrible situation involving the broken door latch.
We really enjoyed staying there myself and two minor age kids. I really appreciate that Doreen, one of the owners, personally called us on the day of our arrival to welcome us. We needed some extra blankets and Doreen brought them to us herself. Though the facilities are a little bit older, the friendliness and hospitality more than makes up for it. My children particularly liked the vaulted ceilings which made the room feel very spacious. We will definitely be back. Side note, for personal family reasons, the restaurant is no longer operating.
Owner was extremely friendly and supportive. Felt like family.
Even with other guest there it was very quiet. High ceiling in our room. The restaurant was close, but owners had suffered a death in family. So not that bad. Other places to eat nearby.
The advertised restaurant and bar were closed 4 months ago, according to the proprietor. The room smelled of mold and mildew. The pool was full of algae and mosquitoes. The ice machine and vending were empty. After we left, they then called and said they would charge us $150.00, because we smoked in the room. We probably will not be using Expedia again!
Pleasant and quiet. Dated but clean. Would stay again
Overall the accommodations were okay. The room was clean. There were no restaurants nearby. The exterior of the motel was in need of some fixing up. The AC needed some fixing as well.
Very quaint. People very pleasant.
They did offer breakfast, even though the listing said it did.
While an older property, room was clean and had everything I needed. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Room was not as depicted as on line photos. Both beds sagged. No refrigerator. Office closed at 530 pm so no assistance. Ac- heater didn't work properly. Tv volume didn't work. Won't say there again.
Restaurant food was delicious
Clean rooms, very helpful owners, excellent on-site restaurant !
Quant older accommodations.
Comfy, older hotel tucked away in the mountains. Big, clean room with a good working, albeit noisy AC unit. Friendly, family-owned hotel and restaurant - which I did not visit. Sorry about that! I'm certain it was good. Will definitely stay here again for my next visit to Stone Mountain Park.
Very pleasant 2-day stay. Interesting construction and pictorial history about the motel in the office. Rooms are not the normal 'motel' room A little dated but very clean and comfortable. Large, thick European style towels are great. I would recommend for a quiet stay.
1 night stay only
Motel is older, but okay. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. Nothing fancy, but a nice place to stay.
This hotel is perfectly situated for a beautiful stay in the mountains. Close to Stone Mountain State Park. It’s an older property with character and run by a family who work hard to also run the restaurant onsite. If you want brand new glass and metal style hotel accommodation this is not the place for you. If you want a comfortable stay in a beautiful area, you’ll love it.
Family run Motel and Restaurant. Very friendly and excellent service. Rooms are a bit dated, but spacious and well equipped.
