It is a wonderful place to observe bird migration. Our reserve has a large group of more than 2709 species of birds that have been recorded around the area.
We also have great cycling routes such as Winchelsea & Rye Harbor Nature Reserve loop and Pett Level Road loop from Winchelsea. On the way you will see historic landmarks and great countryside views. If you don’t have a bike and wanted to try something different. We have our own electric e-bikes which we can hire out to you for a day etc. We also have free onside bike storage to lock your bicycles up at night securely and CCTV on site with facilities to charge your own E-bike.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Location was nice not too far from places. The buffet breakfast was nice, everything topped up quickly when running low. Check in and out was easy process.
Wasn’t the cleaniest. Toilet roll on holder empty, shower had hairs in and tv didn’t work but that was the only downfalls. The hotel was nice, location good, breakfast lovely.

Easy to find. Comfy bed, clean and easy to park. Fruit selection at breakfast was lovely.
Breakfast was nice but not very warm. This is down to it being a buffet service I guess.
My personal preference, it would be nice to have hot chocolate sachets along with the tea and coffee

The room was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. It was just a short walk into Winchelsea where we found another lovely pub to have dinner. It was during a heatwave when we stayed here and they provided fans for the rooms to keep us as comfortable as possible.
