The setting is nice and welcoming, with flowers everywhere and a lovely fishpond. Very useful carpark.
The bedroom was nice and cosy, with lots of space to put away all our stuff in drawers and a spacious wardrobe; a very comfortable private balcony and soothing view over meadows.
The bathroom was adequate.
The breakfasts were simply EXCEPTIONAL: freshly cooked on demand by very nice, helpful staff, a wide choice of all kinds of goodies, and the best cooked bacon I have ever tasted in a hotel.
There was nothing to criticise.
We were fortunate to be upgraded to one of the suites. It was lovely, with a separate sitting area, bedroom with king-size bed, and roomy bathroom with towelling robes. Off the sitting are there were patio doors opening out to a lovely rural view.
It was clean, the bathroom smelt of bleach and the room was nice and bright and airy. The staff were friendly and chatty and welcoming.
Nothing - I’d stay here again.
Cooked breakfast was delicious!
We were upgraded (unexpectedly) and our suite of rooms had a fantastic view of the countryside…
The main road out front - traffic going by fast.
Was situated in beautiful surroundings. TV was very good.
Room was very basic. Restaurant was closed as was Sunday ?? Wet room was wet, got wet feet using sink. Shower luke warm. Needs attention.
Despite being understaffed, the staff who were on duty were attentive, polite, and really helpful, including the new staff The food was cooked to order and it was good quality. Breakfast was good, and overall the stay was enjoyable.
The challenges with getting staff is clearly impacting the team, which is a real shame. The manager and his team are clearly passionate about the service they provide, but they are stretched. The local authority has not helped the situation.

Gorgeous location with views of the countryside, loved looking out of the window this morning to see sheep and hear birdsong.. bliss. Breakfast was exceptional. Room was comfortable and very clean.
Beautiful setting and stunning suite friendly staff especially the housekeeping lady
