Sand gets everywhere.

The breakfast is quite good but also a bit monodimensional, it could be more mexican. The room service was a bit unreliable: some day the bed was made sometimes not, same with the refilling of the mini bar. But this doesn't vreally count in comparison to the outstanding qualities of this amazing small luxury hide away.

Leider hatten wir während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts kein direkt verfügbares warmes Wasser beim Duschen. Trotz mehrfacher Meldung an das Personal konnte das Problem nicht behoben werden. Das Wasser wurde jeweils erst nach etwa 10 bis 15 Minuten warm, sodass unnötig viel Wasser ungenutzt ablief, was wir als sehr unangenehm und auch als Verschwendung empfunden haben.

Das Frühstück bestand zudem täglich aus der gleichen, sehr begrenzten Auswahl. Es gab kaum Abwechslung und insgesamt nur wenige Optionen, sodass es auf Dauer eintönig wurde.

Das Restaurantpersonal war zwar freundlich, wirkte jedoch zeitweise gestresst und unkoordiniert, was den Service teilweise verzögert hat.

Loud music at the beach club on Saturday during the day/evening. But otherwise it was very peaceful and seemed much quieter than many surrounding hotels.

There are a few points that could be improved. The private pool water was quite cold, with no option to heat it, so it was more suitable for a quick dip rather than proper use. It would also be nice to have fresh cold bottled water in the minibar instead of a water dispenser. While the room itself was kept very clean, the rooftop pool was not cleaned during our stay and became quite dirty after a couple of days. Additionally, the toilet had a slight unpleasant smell at times, which could be improved with better ventilation or maintenance.

It’s also worth noting that fresh water seems to be a general issue in Tulum, as the shower and bathroom water were quite salty—similar to ocean water—though this is likely beyond the hotel’s control. Room service was only available until 6 p.m., so ordering dinner to the room wasn’t possible. However, breakfast room service was included and free of charge, which was a lovely touch.

Breakfast was delicious and clearly prepared with care, but the variety was limited. Each day, the main choice was essentially the type of eggs you wanted (scrambled, omelet, poached, etc.). While the quality was great, a bit more variety would make it even better.

Great location and nice relaxed vibe.

The beach and water was full of seaweed and sunbeds often reserved for outside visitors so that we had to take less nice sunbeds. Most of the staff was unfriendly and fixated on tips for absolutely basic services. Only 2 people seemed genuinely friendly. The included breakfast is actually a scam, as you get 2 slices of bread with butter, Joghurt with fruits and eggs every day. There is no variety or selection. You can hear everything that happens at the reception from the room and we were woken up multiple times by the security guard in the night watching some loud show on his phone. Whenever we came out of the room to complain he was hiding. Eventhough we had a do not disturb sign the girl from the reception knocked at our door at 7am just to realise she’s at the wrong door. I ordered birthday decorations for 190 USD which were absolutely not like on the previously send example pictures and even decorations which I specifically ordered were missing. Instead of a refund we received some free sweets, which we never asked for and also didn’t take. Overall a disappointing experience mostly due to peoples lack in understanding basic hospitality.

The tip policy was very uncomfortable, every time we received a bill (including complimentary breakfast) we were asked for a tip and the service was not particularly friendly or welcoming. The bed was not very comfortable, the bathroom had an unpleasant smell for the whole duration of the stay. It was super unclear what was included in the breakfast as they dont have physical menus and for the price we paid, i would have expected a choice of breakfast items and not the bare minimum. There was a lot of noise from the hotel next door, which is about 1-2 meters from the master suite(bare in mind this is the quiet end of Tulum so ypu expect it to be a little quiter than the main section), very early on our second day we were awoken by shouting and whooping on the rooftop, and in the evening till very late there was a party. Im all for fun a d this wouldn't usually bother me, but it was very very noisy for our room, there was no mention on the event at check in to pre-warn us and I didnt receive a response from the front desk when I enquired what time the party would be going on until. It really didn't feel like it was worth US$1,512.08 for 2 nights unfortunately.
