The room was nice.
Checking in was a terrible experience. My room at another hotel was given away, and I booked this one and showed up about 20 minutes later. I explained what happened and she began to defend the other hotel because I had booked through this app. She then could not give me the room I booked through the app, and got frustrated with the computer but in turn was rude to me. I then was charged almost $100 over what I reserved on Booking. By then, I was exhausted and just wanted to get to a bed. They also ran out of food several times at breakfast, so we didn't even get a free breakfast out of it.

Great central location in downtown Savannah that was convenient to dining and shopping. The suite had plenty of room for our entire group to hang out.

I really liked the location and how clean the facilities were.
Well, the staff were not great. The management was also never around to handle any problems that arose during the stay. For instance, my friend slipped in the very slippery tub and broke his nose. The staff neither sent an ambulance nor filled out an incident report. The staff also tried to blame me for their not filling out the incident report, which is an incredibly false statement on their part. I made a point of saying that I would have filled out a report when I had worked in customer service, and I even inquired as to its location so that my friend could fill out his part of it. Further, the elevators in the valet parking lot were broken, and the lone staff member had to make multiple trips to the 4th and 5th floor of the parking garage to retrieve cars. Oddly, the staff member allowed a guest to go along with her to retrieve his car, which is a huge liability issue. The lack of responsibility from the staff and the odd response to my friend from absentee management (the general manager wanted to personally talk with my friend about his broken nose) has soured my willingness to stay at this hotel again and maybe other fairfield inns. Otherwise, the location at the edge of downtown is phenomenal.

I had an outstanding experience at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott on Montgomery Street, and a big part of that was because of Jada at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional.
Jada understood exactly what guests needed and handled every request with efficiency, patience, and a genuine smile. She made the check-in process seamless, answered questions thoroughly, and created an atmosphere that made me feel right at home. It’s rare to encounter someone who combines exceptional customer service with such a positive attitude.
Employees like Jada are the reason guests return. She is a tremendous asset to the Fairfield Inn & Suites, and I hope management recognizes the outstanding work she does every day. Thank you, Jada, for making my stay so enjoyable!
Everything met our expectations. Great location. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast options were good. No issues with the room. WiFi worked great across three devices. If we ever return to Savannah (GA) then we will pick that hotel again.
I did not like NOT getting Marriott points when making a reservation via booking.com. Also, we noticed the computer in the lobby was down for some reason . Fortunately, we did not need it but I typically like to print my boarding pass from there. And, one of the front windows to the dining area appears to be shattered.

The room was in good shape, and they served breakfast. The location made it easy to walk to lots of restaurants in Savannah.
They say they are pet-friendly, but they don't have a good place to take your dog to the bathroom. There is a small area out front with a bit of unmaintained grass, so really some tall weeds, and there was glass everywhere. I was nervous about letting my dog use the area. The AC unit was very loud at times.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect—situated right in the heart of Savannah, it is within walking distance of almost all the main attractions, historic squares, and beautiful spots the city has to offer, You couldn't ask for a better base to explore.
That being said, a slightly warmer welcome at reception would make the overall guest experience truly perfect.
The breakfast was quite average and could use more variety and fresher options.

From the very start, Management, the team and esp Mrs Dottie were AMAZING!!!
It was comfortable but the carpet was strangely wet when we got there. It also took hours to get towels and toilet paper. The location was great! Our room view was of an alley. The atmosphere was child friendly. The value was pretty good. Overall it was clean enough and laid back but almost too laid back.
The location was perfect and the staff phenomenal. Breakfast was great and the valet was very professional.
