I had an amazing stay and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. I was travelling as part of a group of six, and the staff handled this effortlessly, making everything feel easy and well organised. They were absolutely exceptional, personable, kind, and always willing to help with anything we needed. One standout was the shuttle bus service, which was incredibly well run and convenient, with both free and paid options available, making getting around stress-free.

Upon checkout, the team were so accommodating and happy for us to wait comfortably while we arranged transport, which really reinforced how thoughtful and guest-focused they are. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. I was truly impressed, would love to stay again, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to others.

Pros:

Loved staying here! Staff were fabulous, very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and spotless. I ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. It was a quick short walk into town. Would definitely stay again!

Pros:

The staff are super helpful and are there to help you enjoy your stay at the hotel but also you time at Hakuba. Happo is a short walk, there’s a free shuttle to Hakuba47 directly outside. Free shuttles to other resorts nearby. Breakfast incl in the room rate.

Cons:

Very little there was no tv which is not really a bad thing. Yet that’s the only real issue I could think of.

Money well spent
Pros:

Good location, breakfast every morning and a onsen for use after a day on the slopes. Staff were great, pick up and drop off at the train station and really accomodating and welcoming.

Amazing stay, great staff, really really enjoyed our time here
Pros:

I definitely recommend this hotel, good location, the staff were amazing, food was awesome, onsen was good, rooms were spotless.

The shuttle bus service was also a great surprise,

Sam, Aussie and Anonie were amazing, gave really good advice and knowledge of the area, and fun to be around. Give those guys a pay rise :)

We will definitely be coming back here next time

Cons:

We were happy with everything, nothing to complain about here.

But if anything it would be we had 3 a third person in the room, so the rooms felt a bit squashed with another double bed in there, there wasn't any space to walk in the room with the extra bed.

Great staff, amazing location, and cozy bed for a reasonable price
Pros:

The location was quiet even thought I was so close to town. And the bus stop right in front made getting to other mountains easy!

Cons:

The first few days I didn’t know you could make the bidet water warmer than ice cold

It was okay but there are definitely things that you can do better with a little thought.
Pros:

The breakfast was okay. But a bit limited in comparison to the other properties I have stayed at in Happo

Cons:

The third bed in out triple room was really uncomfortable. It was actually a couch, not a bed. When you book a tripple room the three beds should be the same so that was disappointing.
