JB Duke Hotel

A great hotel! I dare to say the best hotel in the RDU region. My room was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom had great amenities. Will definitely be back.

Great hotel in the best location right on Duke's campus. Can walk to campus. Beautiful surroundings. Easy parking. Staff is excellent and helpful. Great hotel bar and outdoor areas. Will definitely return!

We stayed here while visiting our son who's a student at duke. Very convenient to campus and we had drinks at the lounge and breakfast in the morning.

Perfect hotel for visit to Duke. Clean, spacious and really friendly staff. Free parking. You just have to get a code from front desk and its a parking structure so plenty of parking. Rooms are so quiet, beds comfy and gym is decent. There is even laundry machines which is amazing. Definitely recommend.

Not impressed to put it mildly. I booked a "superior suite" that said "private bedroom"... um, no, unless there's an actual room with an actual door, it's not a private bedroom. I felt completely mislead and cheated out of what I thought I was getting vs what I got. The room also felt tired and none too clean (old stains on the floor, window sills clearly last cleaned months or years ago, etc). I am also super-sensitive/allergic to smells, and the room smelled of one of those artificial fresheners that cheap hotels use to cover up bad smells - instant migraine, thanks! The gentleman at the front desk was not helpful and looked like our questions - such as how do we actually find our room or how do we do laundry - were unheard of and bothering him. No water bottles, nothing. Overall, for over $500 a night, this is ridiculous. Don't stay here, find some generic brand hotel with all the amenities and actually helpful staff for half the price. That's what I am doing next time for sure.

Enjoyed my stay. Good sized, clean room. Good sized, clean bathroom. Staff was helpful. Location is nice but not with walking distance of restaurants or retail.

The JB Duke is an exceptional hotel and conference center. Always clean, team is very professional and food is fantastic. Conference Center and food service team provide exceptional service and keep the area clean with without interruptions. Beds are comfortable with ample warm bedding to adjust to your needs. Atmosphere is calm, professional and enjoyable. Rooms offer large picture windows for view of the manicured grounds. Room service is prompt and the meals are delicious and visually appealing. Parking garage onsite is spacious, secure and nearby with a clear path to the hotel. Hotel does offer valet service. Definitely a wonderful place to stay for business or pleasure.

The JB Duke is the best lodging for anything taking place on or around the Duke campus. It has a superior location, luxurious accommodations, and excellent food. We like to walk when visiting Duke, and the JB Duke allows full access to campus on foot, or using Duke transportation services.

JB Duke is an excellent property with super staff. We have stayed here often and prefer this to other places while visiting Duke.

The Internet in the hotel apparently doesn’t work… No explanation why. Because the Internet doesn’t work, the phones don’t work. No explanation why. The sinks are clogged up… No explanation why. There’s no hot water in the shower… No explanation why.

The management response to these problems consists of giggling, and ‘Unfortunately, we’re not sure what’s going on.’ The really funny thing about this is that this hotel is run by a business school. A real cascading series of incompetencies here.
